Most of it centers around Geographic Information Systems (GIS), but really the general principles apply to any technology. Probably the seminal work would be the book “Ground Truth: The Social Implications of Geographic Information Systems” by John Pickles. There’s a whole bunch of interesting things in a book edited

There’s been a LOT of academic literature about geospatial technologies being a tool of the state, particularly for suppression or mis-representation. I think we (meaning geography wonks) could do a better job of highlighting how the technology can be used for counter-authoritative purposes and actually be used to

Jen Kirkman called out Jezebel for running this story under her name because it’s untrue...

FFS Jen Kirkman explicitly said it wasn’t Louis CK, and called out Jezebel for continuing to push this unfounded rumor. AND another comedian admitted that his behavior is probably the origin of the rumor.

Is anyone else slightly disturbed that we all just decided to accept Louis CK is a sex offender based on random, unrelated stories about random, unrelated comics acting creepy?

I don’t know if it is my love for Stewart clouding my judgement, but it seriously just sounds like he admitted to never hearing those rumors before, which is believable because the only reason I know of those rumors is because of this site.

The fact that some people react that way to a brutal physical assault on a child (who hadn’t even committed a crime) is nauseating. Either some people have disturbingly selective empathy, or they’re so committed to this “Cops always good” narrative that they can’t even budge from it no matter how egregious the
