Yes, but this one dude/tte didn’t like it and hence the comparison is completely valid. I mean, what would the studio know about quality after releasing a really successful film?

That Authority movie caught me really by surprise, but I’m now wondering if Gunn is going to stick to Ellis’s original vision of the team. As in that case I could easily see that movie setting them up as the complex antagonist force that would lead to the formation of the Justice League.

In an unexpected twist, this SNL really made me want to see Michael B Jordan as a horror movie villain. Like Killmonger was already an all-time great Marvel villain, but there’s another more unsettling performance there.

This is one of those situations where I really hope they learned things from the Last of Us ’s success and take a more patient approach. For example, I do think the first reboot Tomb Raider game has the components for a really fantastic TV show that expand and build on elements of the game.

Might be and I assume they have a plan, I just don’t know how it is going to work, personally, if they stick with Bella. It’s not even the size, although it is a huge factor, but that Ellie needs to seem like someone who changed a lot in the second game.

I’ve been pondering the same thing, although it should be pointed the game was critically really well received and not only is there a genuine question how representative the ‘critical’ fan reaction was, there’s a lot of nuance what were seen as some of the issues.

Bella Ramsey, the actress playing Ellie, is 19 years old. She is not going to physically grow that much larger.

I mentioned this a few weeks ago, but man am I delighted about how well Puss in Boots is holding up. Also man M3Gan is making that money, Blumhouse really knows how to choose their projects.

I think this review is an excellent example of AVClub’s difficulty in discussing SNl. And, by the way, to be honest it is a really difficult to show to discuss as in addition to being a comedic show, which is inherently probably the most subjective form of entertainment, it is also an institution that has targeted

Will not register for a lot of people, but man was I devastated when they cancelled Teenage Bounty Hunters. From what I saw, it might have actually been a pandemic casualty as especially shows featuring ‘teens’ were difficult to sustain over that period for multiple reasons. Yet man I was shocked how much I loved this

Going into the trailer, I kept thinking that the Ready or Not comparison was unfair as that movie was dope as hell.

While I initially eyerolled Lo’ak’s “I am an outsider too” stichk, when Payakan leaps on that damn ship and starts swatting people around, I came all around on the whale. That managed to somehow be at the same time a hilarious visual and just sheer badass whale action.

As a sidenote on Avatar’s success, I can’t help thinking about a point I saw someone make a week or two ago. They essentially argued that while there was a lot of dismissiveness over Avatar: WoW initially due to nobody really talking about the first one online and similarly not necessarily that amount of buzz for the

Jesus Christ, at the moment Avatar is at 1.894 billion globally. It actually might hit the two billion mark.

I honestly don’t know. I saw the number thrown online as a way to mock it, but was still also shocked when I saw the IMDB entry for the movie listing that as the budget. Not saying it is correct, just that is what is listed.

Something I only realized when going through this timeline is that Sea of Thieves came out in 2018, so if Ubisoft had managed to hit that original deadline, or even close to it, the game could have genuinely competed for that space.

There’s an interview where Ben Shapiro talked about how he couldn’t break through in Hollywood because of that liberal barrier thing. In that same interview he comments how he worked for this one producer who decided to go work on Blue Bloods instead of Shapiro’s script.

For what it is worth, according to IMDB the estimated budget for Terror on the Prairie was 75 million dollars. However, a lot of the reviews I’ve seen comment that the budget looked limited and I couldn’t find out where that number comes from, so it should be taken with a grain of salt.

But I’d flip that argument around a bit as to me Sea of Thieves makes it more difficult for Skull & Bones.

While Avatar naturally continues as the main story, and there is a lot that could be said about M3GAN’s insane profit margin, I’m personally really glad to see Puss in Boots hanging there on the lists. While it’s not breaking records, it did pass double its budget this weekend and is showing some small staying power.
