After reading a couple of reviews of this film, I went and read the plot synopsis on Wikipedia. Boy was that confusing even to read in a condensed form, I cannot fathom how it feels sitting in the theatre for three hours and not see a single plot point resolved.

Before anything else, I genuinely can’t recommend this game enough from a storyline experience.

For me, the most beautiful game of 2024 so far was Banishers: Ghosts of New England. There were clunky mechanics and a couple of a plot decisions that I found curious, but overall there was just something striking both in the world and the overall story.

I am delighted how the show will dance around the awkwardness of having a shadowy plotting female cabal whose sole task is to creating the chosen one.

A bit sad although not surprised in the least. In this case not even because of how many men have had allegations against them, but I do remember reading about a court case made against him years back with a woman accusing him of stuff like this.

I was on-board until that last quote about wanting to find that ‘90s vibe as at that very instant I had huge questions what Waller-Bridge will be using as the basis for the series.

The Sleepover sketch made me smile the most, not just because I might have called my mom to get me from a couple of places as a kid.

By the way, a late comment on me regarding this, but a slight correction to the headline.

It’s kind of funny as I hadn’t thought how strong line-up of winners Eurovision has had over the past few years. Kind of reflecting the continuous elevation of the competition and how progressively hard it is to win it.

Man, it is going to be difficult to beat 2021, but this one did give a good run at it.

Petra is the greatest and deserved to get her own postcard in that final.

Oh, completely agreed and it was clear from the start that a performance piece like Bambie Thug’s was something that not everyone would get and in that sense it was an amazing accomplishment to do as well as they did. Just was personally hoping for a little bt better, but that is not to take anything away from that…

As more of a petty delight comment, I am from Finland and it is difficult to put into words how horrible losers we were last year. Like as a nation, the way we embraced bitterness was astonishing.

Even with all the chaos, incredible show and nobody does the Eurovision contest like Sweden does. There is a reason why Petra Mede is an icon in the competition at this point. Also deeply sad that apparently the runestones had already sold out.

No need to apologize, I was actually trying to figure out while writing what was the correct way to do it and now looking at it again see the obvious error there.

Hemsworth is a tricky one as he is pushing a slight reinvention of himself with some recent choices. Might put him above Pine on my list, but will have to think about it more.

Watching the destruction of these studios, there is some comfort for me how there seems to now be a new trend of developers embracing ‘AA’ games and trying de-escalate the weird spiral of doom the industry has been caught in. Yeah. Like we can deservedly mock the movie, but it was clearly a labor of love. So great that Pine was able to process that reaction in such a healthy way.

Yeah, just his views on comedy writing and performing that Conan talks about in his podcasts makes it clear that this is a man that has a profound understanding of the art form.
