Only if we agree that language and context has no meaning?

It was honestly a really fascinating listen and did an excellent illuminating the huge amount of work the Times did to really dig in to the story while also explaining the approach they took. It is one of the core reasons why this particular take here is so infuriating after listening to it.

As an addition to my rant there, because I realize there’s a lot of people here who don’t actually read the linked articles, the particular NYT article in question lists and links the allegations against Biden from last year in the fourth paragraph. The edited part in question is in the sixth paragraph. So the article

Also, as an unrelated sidenote, Jesus Christ is Katie Halper a blight on journalism. After the NYT article came out, out of curiosity I ventured to her Twitter account and regretted it instantly. Her response was to basically dismiss the massive amount of work the Times did because of some really weird comparison to

While I do think that there is a valid discussion to be had on the subject, I also do there is validity in their explanation. If it was the right choice or not is difficult to determine objectively, but it is good to point such decisions.

I really can’t recommend Life is Strange enough. I realize the ending of the series is divisive, even I personally absolutely loved it and Max’s journey during the game is something that still is, for me, one of the more touching ones I’ve experienced.

I was genuinely surprised that was the way Jezebel decided this was the way to refer to that interview as it was genuinely impressive and really highlighted AOC political growth.

To me, the most startling thing I read was when people who watched the show were surveyd, Carole Baskin was viewed most unfavorably by a wide margin. Cult Leader Doc Antle and Scam Master Jeff Lowe received much better grades than she did. The second most unfavorable character? Her husband Howard.

True, but the difficulty with circumstantial evidence is that it requires a more balanced approach. If the show had provided at least some information why law enforcement couldn’t take their claims as truth, which has been reported elsewhere, then there would be more honest weight given to that circumstantial

Yeah, the editorial direction is starting to take a direction that feels slightly troubling at times. Especially considering that there’s a lot one can be critical of the Biden campaign without the need to spin up stuff like this. And I’ve kind of been baffled by some of the takes how Jezebel does a fair job as I can

It still feels weird as hell to elect Supreme Court justices, but I guess a win’s a win.

Yeah, having read the article in question beforehand, I was baffled by how Jezebel chose to represent it here. As you mention, the point of it wasn’t that Trump has an edge over Biden, but that Biden doesn’t have as big of an edge in the battleground states as he does in national polling and that a lot of them will be

Couple of weeks ago I made a semi-joke post here about how I was becoming more certain that certain left leaning sites would prefer a second Trump term to Biden so they could play the arrogance card later. I didn’t really mean it, but the amount of bitterness and backlash took me by a bit of surprise.

I ran in to that Ellen twitter discussion a while back and it was something to read. However, what really took me back was that it didn’t really feel surprising at all and not even because that classical about all rich successful people being monsters.

I’ve kind of become fascinated by the presentation of class structure in shows like this as there seems to be generally two ways to represent rich people in them.

What I kept wondering during the Chalamet sketch was why does Fineman have so many dark blue jackets at her home? Also I realized that for some reason I’m now thinking they are going to use her if they ever need to do a Bill Belichick sketch.

For me, Heidi Gardner was the MVP of the episode as her few bits had a sense of energy to them. Also the Gismert video having only 50 views and more downvotes than upvotes was both amusing and slightly heartbreaking. She’s trying, y’all, she’s trying.

That back catalog joke was such a dad joke that I do genuinely feel guilty at laughing at it. Oh age, why do you not come alone.

It legitimately blows my mind that there are people seriously comparing Joe‘s and Doc Antle’s cult-like approach to a volunteer staff. Like, to me as someone who volunteers, it is legitimately offensive.

To my shock, I’m kind of with Baskin here. I mean there is a larger discussion to be had about volunteer work and to what extent it is ethical to rely on it. However, the more I’ve read on Baskin and everything related to her, the show really did her wrong. Much more than, again at least based on what I’ve seen
