Lmao I’m a rando on the internet posting my opinion, I’m not forcing her to do anything, and I didn’t even say she had to apologize for anything.

Haven’t seen either of them, but I think I know what you’re talking about with Kimmy Schmidt? I think I maybe saw the preview for that, and she was raised in a bunker right?
Please read about the Prophets. I cannot imagine someone who has would downplay the scale of their actions as “snobby elitism”. If that’s still how you feel, then we just don’t see eye to eye on this. They could start an orphanage for baby kittens for all I care, I’ll never trust them and their continued existence is…
Oh cool, thanks for the info!
Yep, we’re on the same page. My theory is that people just like the vicarious thrill of seeing people get “busted” or whatever, been that way even pre-internet with shows like Cops. It’s a cheap thrill.
God damn, you’re condescending. Idk how you can’t understand that you’re doing the exact same thing that you’re complaining about, but whatever.
Yeah that’s totally fair. I would hope some people do, but you’re right, the majority won’t. Appreciate your response.
This entire comments section is a sterling example of people participating in outrage culture by being outraged by outrage culture. I really hate the internet.
I don’t disagree. Still would feel obligated to clear it up if it was me, but the outrage is dumb.
I have no idea what you’re talking about. I never blamed her, called her a nazi, anything. I said the VP sucks and she should say as much. I have no idea why that appears to be controversial.
I love comments like these.
I’m not blaming her, I think that’s a little more clear in my other comments but yeah, understandable that she wouldn’t have known at the time.
Off topic and not important, but Treehouse is such a nice name for those events.
Love the anecdote about the FM antenna! The new dog museum is cool, but I never got to experience the old one so I’m not sure how they differ. I’ll have to look up some pictures. I worked at the library, so the nice ladies in the genealogy department made sure I was up to date on local history haha, learned a lot of…
I’m in KC now (just waiting for the Mic O Say to get their *shine* down here), but yeah I agree, people are really blowing her involvement out of proportion, and underselling how fuckin evil the VP is and how much they shaped STL in the late 18/early 1900s
I think I’ve been pretty clear that I’m not blaming her for this.
Seen some other people saying the same thing, clearly my anecdotal experience doesn’t match others! Even though this is being blown out of proportion, I’m glad people are learning about the VP. Ugly part of the cities history, and people should know about it.
Hey! I’m in KC now, but I lived on Michigan! I loved living in that part of the city. Lotta good food and fun dives. I love visiting when I’m in the area.
I didn’t see the Root story, and yeah I think that’s uncalled for and intentionally provoking outrage over something that is likely a non-story. The thing I am glad about is that people are taking a look at the VP. As a former resident of STL and a current resident of KC, I hope the Mic o say is next.
I don’t even know where to begin with this response, but idk how what I said could be interpreted as being a wokescold, and I think you immediately going to “LoOk THeY dO CHarItY WorK” is so blinkered that I can’t believe it. The KKK does charity work. Lots of shitty people and shitty organizations do. Why might that…
