Not to dissuade you from this laptop at all, but if you have a Microcenter in your area or can order from one, I’d check out their Power Spec line when you’re doing comparison shopping. It’s, IMO, an insanely good value. I have one and love it, and the aesthetics are definitely a lot more minimal.

Interesting! Maybe it’s something that’s become more common knowledge in a younger generation, but I lived in STL for years (off Cherokee) and I don’t think it ever came up around someone who wasn’t at least vaguely aware of it’s history. My experience is anecdotal though, and everyone was definitely an exaggeration.

Okay I feel ya, but the Veiled Prophets society is like.... something everyone in St Louis knows about. Read up on it, it’s genuinely fascinating. Not saying it makes her a nazi or whatever, but it’s a little different than some random pageant in the midwest.
