I'd say it's actually MORE rare for an Indian character on television to exclusively date other Indian people. That however is almost entirely due to the fact that there's not that many Indian actors out there (which I really don't have a problem with, considering we're a very small part of the general population).

FYI, a lot of Indian women (in America) are mainly attracted to white men, including myself. I have no self-hate. There are plenty of Indian men I have found attractive in my life, but considering how few of them there are around here in comparison to the sea of hot white dudes, well.......

I don't believe whatsoever that only being ATTRACTED to a certain race makes one inherently racist. I am also Indian and USUALLY am only attracted to white guys (much like Mindy). That does not mean that I purposely exclude the possibility of dating other races, just that, as of yet, I haven't found a non-white man…
