This is what made me love Obama even more. He did the hard thing in trying to work with Trump even after all the terrible things he said. He didn’t make it personal, he knew what was important so he used the chance he had to try & get Trump to see another point of view. I swear that must have been the hardest thing

I wonder if GW Bush would be willing to set aside his and his family’s personal(and understandable) issues with Trump for the sake of the nation and advise Trump, too, if Trump was willing to listen, and Bill Clinton asked Bush.

No joke. At this stage, if the last three ex Presidents would be willing to teach Trump and

God, his State of the Union addresses are going to sound like 10th grade speech class where you have to make your one paragraph prepared speech last for 30 minutes.

At this point I legitimately think he’ll die before the term is up.

Waist will expand. Hands will shrink.

I didn’t even think about the post-tenure restrictions. Can you just reject all that once you’re out of the White House? I’m assuming you can’t, simply because they might want to keep you from divulging certain things you learned during your time in office. This is like some Grimm’s Bros fairy tale where the genie

Yes! This. To manipulate Trump, compliment him, but ridicule Pence and Banning. Make them look inept, or even better, disloyal. Trump is an entertainer. He wants to be liked by his audience, wants to appear to be The Decider. He’ll tell his closest friend “you’re fired” if he thinks it will make him look good.

Obama is so brilliant. He is more upset than any of us because he knows what the job takes, and he knows Trump will undo everything he did in eight years. But by positioning himself as a trusted advisor to Trump, he’ll be able to influence his policies or at least keep some of the crazy at bay.

Not go wherever he wants. That’s one of the most jarring things for most people: Secret Service controlling your life.

As soon as Clinton and Obama reached out to Trump, his manic desire to be loved by everyone immediately kicked into gear and he began walking back many of his previous positions- on deportations, on the prosecution of Bill and Hillary, and on his language concerning undocumented immigrants who haven’t committed

Get your guesses in now...does his waist expand or shrink from the stress of the next four years?

Be diplomatic with potential adversaries. He can’t bully and bluster his way through.

“I would be very careful about exercising your First Amendment right to freedom of speech. Free speech in a Trump administration extends only to fawning praise, not to criticism or dissent of any kind. You knew this when you voted us in.” -said the scorpion to the fucked democracy.

Some other things Trump didn’t know he had to do as president:
