Originally the car had a pump to pull oil from the sump into the combustion chamber. He removed that pump (they tend to clog), and instead dumps two stroke oil in the gas. Two stroke oil is designed to burn and lubricate things simultaneously, and both burns much cleaner than engine oil and does just as good a job

EPA does not currently use 4 wheel dynos. The secondary axle is disconnected (usually by removing the driveshaft) and the car is tested in 2WD mode.

Passat W8 is reliable - lol.

Find one that isn’t designed to simply liberate guys from their money yet? Tried both Match and Chemistry, never got a date out of either after 6 months of each. Got a long term relationship out of OkCupid a few years ago, and have had success at least getting dates with interesting people on Tinder. The pay sites

Also did an alternator on the W8 twice - that was fun. Took about 8 hours to change the water-cooled bastard. Wrote about it some here:

General midwest. Land is cheap here.

Yes! That was it.

Yeah, not sure what that means. Last time his wife brought a matching 911 GT3, also with some special name on the license plate. Not jealous at all. Nope nope nope. Not at all jealous that he’s 500hp and 10 seconds a lap faster than me.

You found Ralf!

12x normal ice grip, not dry pavement grip. I’m told studded ice tires top out around 3.5 coefficient of friction, so even with those, you would get about the same level of grip on pluto as you would with cheapo all seasons in the rain on earth.

Power-mass ratio didn’t change, and that is the important metric. And no studded tire will get you 12x normal tire grip, so every one of those is slower on pluto.

Probably traction limited for all of them, everywhere. Most tires have coeffecient of friction ~.8, which means traction limited acceleration (even with AWD) of .8 of local g, or .067 earth g, which equals 2.16 ft/s/s. To get to 60mph (88ft/s) would take you about 40 seconds, spinning tires the whole way.

Was lukewarm about the ND Miata, then sat in one at the Detroit auto show. Now its on my need to drive list. Was also oddly impressed by the interior on the RDX....

I own a BMW and the turn signal stalk is broken off. Am I stereotypical, or just efficient?

Still there, just hidden under a cover.

Yup, a 4x4 with open diffs and no TC would not be able to do that. Funny

Yeah, my first thought watching that was how surprisingly capable that driveline and TC system is for a soft roader. Many can’t put opposite corners in the air like that and keep moving.

Similar to reply to McGibblets - Is there a sticky on tipping/general being a good customer that includes this kind of stuff - It’s not as obvious as you may think. I honestly never knew this was the practice before today, and never even thought about it. Just learned I’ve been the asshole stiffing the waiter. I don’t
