Joe Abercrombie does this well in his First Law books. There's a bigger battle in the backround, but all what the main characters care about, is surviving, getting vengeance/the girl/respect/morsel of power, saving a child or holding just one tiny hill.
Ultron has been and still is a galactic scale threat in the comics. He took over the Phalanx and then the Kree.
Frank Quitely illustrates this perfectly in All-Star Superman. Clark even pushes his belly out and points his feet inward.
Wasn't the Sorceress action figure part of the original MotU toy series? So there were three lady figures.
Pretty much every Terry Prachett book. They all follow the same "build up-fake solution-what a twist-real ending" -formula. The characters don't have much depth. They are either cowardly-wizard/guard/something or Death.
All the Punisher movies have their weird parts.
This movie has an orange skinned Nic Cage eating M&Ms from a martini glass and laughing at monkeys on TV. Just what I expected from a Ghost Rider movie.
I play quite a lot of action adventure types of games, and if the game is not the best-ever and I get stuck, I just change the difficulty to easier. I just want to see the story thru.
Yeah. What the hell would Sinister Six and Venom films be, if not Spider-Man films?
I have this tshirt:
Same here. Moneywise also. The only time they did something across games with the Marvel XP -service was with Avengers Alliance and the iPad game featuring Hulk and Cap. You could get an Iron Man armor and Mockingbird in MAA after completing some achivements in the iPad game.
The "PvP" portion of the game is horrible at the moment. Most likely the main reason for people to quit playing.
I think that Scarlet Witch will be introduced as someone who can alter reality, and they continue from that with Dr. Strange.
Also available for the iPad. Haven't played the DS version, but controls worked great on iPad.
"Real" sniper rifle.
There's an insert of Tolkien reading a quote from Simone de Beauvoir (and adding something quite signifigant about it's meaning conserning his own work) in the song "Sand & Mercury" by the Dutch band The Gathering.
I've been playing this for a few days (european beta).
