The Rock was certainly the most influential of the two in the short run for propelling Michael Bay to blockbusterdom and setting the tone for action films of the next few years, but it seems to me that MI, both the first film and the franchise, are far more influential of action cinema today.

Not a great show by any means, but lots of fun (would probably put it smack dab between Psych and Burn Notice). The only really terrible parts were any scenes that involved any teenagers: all so awful, all so unrealistic. Couldn't turn it off, though.
