Counterpoint: No.

For a primer on St. Louis pizza, we went to….Brooklyn?

A Serious Man is basically a series of metaphoric parables like the Tommy Lee Jones monologue here. That's why I love that movie so much, and probably also why so few people love it so much.

Whenever I'm in court defending a client, I just hold up a piece of paper with the word LIABILITY crossed out, and the Judge just dismisses the case. It's basic proof of a matter of law, really.

This would make a great theme song for Too Many Cooks.

Attack on Memory was just ferocious and thrilling. This is nice, but I feel like I'll always be missing that zenith from this band.

It's pretty well known in Smith's biographies that a number of his songs were about getting beaten up by his stepfather, Charlie Welch. Some of those songs are on his albums, like the song Roman Candle. But his family controls the rights to the unreleased material and can control what doesn't see the light of day.

Yep. There is an absolute treasure trove of unreleased Smith material floating around on the internet. Apparently his family doesn't want some of it to ever get a proper release because it touches on alleged abuse he received at the hands of his stepfather (see: the unimaginatively named, but haunting "Abused," on

LAPD investigated his death, but didn't find probable cause to bring charges against Smith's girlfriend. I believe Pitchfork's very comprehensive story from about 5 years ago reported that Smith was on a bevy of antipsychotics and other mood stabilizing meds, then abruptly decided to stop taking all of them shortly

Modern Vampires of the City was so damn good…and released almost 4 years ago now. What gives?

I think I was listening to things like Wilco and Teenage Fanclub and the Lemonheads for a solid decade before I ever realized that Big Star wrote the book they were imitating in their own great ways.

He has an unreleased cover of September Gurls that is also great - you can find it on youtube.

Bummer, there are some games I would've hoped to see some day, like Spy Hunter, or Tecmo Super Bowl instead of the inferior Tecmo Bowl. But you're right, the biggest titles are on this box.

So with this new NES, will it be possible down the road to download additional games to it? Or will it always just be those 30?

It's by no means bad. It just felt a bit flat compared to its predecessor. Like it lacked the dynamic highs and lows of Attack on Memory so the songs kinda blended together for me.

Even if they never release another song, Attack on Memory is a great fucking album.

Your comment somehow reminds me of this Onion classic.

I'm so fucking confused.

Hey, it's Dinesh from Silicon Valley, too! This cast is a good cast.

Czuchry actually was pretty good in The Good Wife. I'm glad I didn't know he was in this shitbag of a movie when I was watching that show.
