I can tell you from experience that the Valentine 1 is sensitive enough to pick up the scatter from Lidar. One trick to speeding w/a radar detector is to only go enough over the limit that you can be back @ it w/a quick stab of the brakes. You have to be really quick on the brakes tho...

I use the noise as an indicator that I’ve pulled it up far enough, especially on steeper hills.
I had a couple of plastic idlers go on me. The second one took the supercharger belt w/it. After taking the engine halfway out to change said belt, I replaced ALL the plastic pulleys w/metal ones.
