Buckley’s was my first-heard and best-loved version — but “Hallelujah” is a song with history. It’s not really a compliment to Buckley to try and separate his interpretation from the context of Cohen’s own or the earlier covers by Dylan and Cale.

I like Robyn.
I’m not gonna read this. I really prefer to just imagine what Charlie Sheen thinks about 9/11.
But she didn’t get an answer out of him.
There would be more to this point of view if the game were in any way a challenge or a puzzle. You can save before every choice — there is no question of skill or even luck here.
Also, Mary doesn’t have to be a villain for Joseph’s “good” ending to be not-so-good.
Their intentions around Mary were good, but for people who play Joseph’s path but not Robert’s (or Damien’s, I hear) there’s nothing to cause them to question the villainized portrayal of Mary.
In my eyes, when mortal danger is in question, self-interest has to come before empathy each and every time.
It’s difficult to be familiar with every last detail of the operations of a charity to which you’ve given money.
That’s fine.
No, Mary is not humanized at all in Joseph’s route.
everything is bound to be utterly stupid from here on out
I haven’t seen anyone else say this yet: it broke my heart that Arya wasn’t able to unbend a little bit more with Hot Pie. I really wanted her to gradually show a more humanity through their conversation and re-establish a connection there and ... she did not.
Theon is actually not the worst, here. He rushes crazy Euron, crazy Euron cuts Yara’s throat. He runs away, crazy Euron probably takes Yara prisoner to torture later.
I guess this is the “me one-hundred-and-two” edition of this post but: the Sand Snakes? Favorite characters?
You think social services can reliably support poor parents such that their children escape the negative outcomes associated with growing up poor? I think that is very plainly not true.
Another yardstick — like I.Q., for example.
With the horror stories I’ve heard from people who grew up in foster care, this seems like a truly misguided choice, quite apart from what seems like considerable overreach on the part of the state.
Any time this conversation happens:
I don’t really agree. In-person conversations have a million little formalities and distractors built in, specifically for the purpose of avoiding uncomfortable levels of intimacy.
