As far as pictures, this is tough. Pictures should do 2 things, show me what you look like as well as show me some of your interests. Shots where i can’t see your face or of something that is not you don’t help.
Do: Plan a short first date, with time open after. The idea of a huge first date in online dating is dead. Keep it simple, time-boxed and if things go well simply ask if they’d like to keep going or change locations. If things go poorly, you’ve only committed 20 mins and a single drink.

Right? as a follow up to the cheese experiment above I was thinking about wrapping different things in hot cheese or something. A burger with cheese inside or complete covered in cheese could be really interesting. Probably messy as hell though, but I’m willing to make sacrifcies

This is timely, I’m sitting on a lot of money in my checking (because I hit that threshold to get a better interest rate) and am on the fence about whether other alternatives would be better. I think my biggest hurdle is deciding how much money I need on hand, for example I just had to drop nearly 2k on my lawn…

Well, you make a good point. I don’t think the steak was actually better tasting per se, but cooked correctly without a lot of graded cooking going to center. So in that case, yes, I can consistently not only get a perfectly cooked medium rare steak, but also medium rare THROUGHOUT the steak and not brown then red.
It’s funny because as soon as I mentioned the amount of effort, it wasn’t really that bad. Just waiting really.

I did the bacon this week. Picked up some seriously thick slices from the butcher. It was good (maybe even great), but I felt like I’d get similar value from just using an oven.
