My 60 year old mother just traded in her '03 Turbo S (180hp stock +6spd manual...THE MOST POWERFUL STOCK BEETLE EVER OFFERED...) with 59k miles on it for $6k that she bought new. It was a fun drive, but it never was great. The front lip spoiler also scraped on every single driveway. I can imagine a dropped Beetle with

Toyota Corolla. More of them have been sold then any car and for good reason: they are solid but inexpensive, utterly reliable, and boring as it gets.

The RAV4 is too big and heavy now. Why not an electric Prius or Yaris?

@Nick: How's heel-toeing working out for you?

@luisthebeast: I never understood why James May kept backing up instead of going forward....aren't most European models built with the reverse up and to the left? Every VW, BMW, and now MINI that I've owned has had it that way. I mean yeah you need to press down and over to the left to get it into reverse, but it

@RandomArt: Yep. At Pontiac, excessive plastic body cladding="driving excitement"

@thebluepill: The "Koup" maybe. But I drove a Forte sedan and it was even a little better than I expected. I might even pick it over a Civic.

@BufordJustice: I actually appreciate anyone who can make a SMART car work for them. It's the people with the 18 foot long, 12 mpg Suburbans in the grocery store parking lot whose owners I want to punch.

@xxpor: If you read the Craigslist ad, the car is in Seattle and currently registered in WA. Probably why it's listed on the Seattle Craigslist and not Vancouver, B.C. I would venture to guess. :)

@dmoon: 93 octane! Where do they have that?!

@Tondeleo: I'm a three-on-the-tree person, myself.

@JonZeke: I don't get the "anti-manual in daily driving" argument. I've always owned manuals and live in the city. You certainly buy a Porsche to drive it. And that should require 3 pedals.

@hobocline: Me too. I can't believe I kind of like it. Although, the first car I remember actually thinking was "sexy" was an Aurora (no joke). Then again, in the screenshot the wheels already look rusty....

I went to a BMW/Mini dealership to buy a Mini Clubman and told the salesperson (who owned a 135i) that I wished they would bring over the One Series hatch. He said 'Yeah....but they wouldn't sell.' It's the dealers keeping the hatches AWAY!!!

BMW straight 6. The sweetest sounding engine in the world.

@BrtStlnd: ah, we finally arrive at what this post is all about...

@mkbruin: Isn't Land Rover owned by Indians too?

@SagarikaLumos: I could be way wrong on this...but isn't watercooling just running "air cooled" water from a radiator? Maybe this isn't enclosed enough to require a massive radiator?
