This is apparently the horrifying space where Mindless Reality TV Viewer and Obsessive Nerd meet.

This was one of those read-the-band-name-and-instantly-say "Oh, fuck you" moments.

Who the fuck is Marcus?

I read that as "CanadaAIDS" at first and that was a scary moment. What's CanadaAIDS?! Is it worse or just a more polite version of AIDS?

Uptown funk gon' give it ya….retroactively, to avoid litigation.

Well, fuck you too, CBS.

My son Spray, short for Spraynard.

If there's anyone we can trust about cultural appropriation for cheap laughs, it's Ice, baby!

I believe the "ironically" is in reference to the title being 'The Shape of Punk to Come' and there never being anything to come after the release of that album. Until this. Which, I guess, entirely invalidates this being ironic.

I can't wait til the whole naming your children after places thing goes beyond "Brooklyn", "Virginia", etc.

As a millennial, my response is: Yup, pretty much spot on. NBD.

Just ordered Heart Shaped Box on Amazon. It looks pretty King-esque, but to be honest, NOS4A2 was a lot more King-esque than the reviews let on (not that it's a bad thing).

I am looking at ordering some of the Locke and Key ones. I'm not a huge fan of graphic novels, but those looked interesting!

Just finished NOS4A2 by Joe Hill due to fantastic review on AV Club a few months back. What a stellar, fun horror book. One of the very few books 600 pgs+ that keep me riveted through the end. Going to check out his earlier books now!

On Hard Girls' records, Morgan Herrell's songs tend to be more immediately engaging, but Huguenor's songs get exponentially better after multiple listens. The songs are so much better with a little familiarity.

I discovered Hard Girls last year and became pretty obsessed pretty quickly, so I found my way to Shinobu soon after. So, so good. Love Huguenor.

Apparently a B, C+ and B+ qualify for "several lackluster episodes".

They're no Eddie Vedders.

Man, after last week's funny and slightly daring Keaton episode, this was a huge disappointment. Lots of "it's funny because black people and white people are different" without any social criticism or even- dare I say- funniness to back it up. Kind of rough when Weekend Update (sans the repetitive correspondents) was

"Holy crap, man, some of the stuff you were saying today was real as hell." Mike O'Brien's weird sketches always work for me.
