What a shame. This car should be leading the direction of the Dodge brand and instead they stop making it. Typical dumb decisions made by Marchionne, probably to put more money into Alfa.

And you are wrong. Diffey, Hobbs, Matchett, and Buxton are an awesome quad. In fact, they help make the broadcast even better in my opinion.

I do, too. I think he ended up filling in on one or two races last year when Diffey had prior obligations, and I was surprised at how much I missed the old crew. Varsha, Hobbs, and Matchett were the commentators when I started watching F1.

Yep. Add four seconds to an F1 stop and you’re talking potentially millions of dollars in lost constructor points.

so sub 2 second pit stop isn’t “as crazy” as a 13 second Nascrap stop... WOW, that is some really interesting information that we’re all glad you shared.

Hobbs is hilarious, Diffey’s calls are fantastic, and Matchett has great technical insight. Add on Buxton’s pit reporting (walks up to Enrique Iglesias... “Who’s your hero for this race?” hahaha!), and the NBC crew is pretty great. They’re hampered by their network, and all the commercials.

I kind of disagree. I mean, I get it, a NASCAR stop has WAY more work and less to do it with, but the coordination and precision to do an F1 pit stop is insane.
Both are really impressive, but literally ANY mistake in an F1 stop and it’s ruined...Slipped off the nut? Ruined. Couldn’t quite line up the wheel? ruined.

Or 3 lugs, or 4, or 2... because NASCAR can’t decide how many teams have to put on the cars (though last I checked they’re back to “all of them.”

It would probably be slower, as a human can compensate for a 1 cm difference in where the car stops faster than a robotic mechanism could.

What funny is that those NASCAR stops look like something out of a comedy skit once you’ve gotten used to how quickly F1 cars are off the jacks and moving again.

Count to two. Then say a 13-second NASCAR stop is crazier. lol.

Nah mate that was the worst race all season by far. Even Steve Matchett sounded bored, and that guy gets excited by everything.

Nah, it was the least exciting race this year. No real drama, just some tire strategy and the occasional DRS-assisted pass.

It really was. No racing to speak of, the only passes were at the end of the front straight. It’s a lot like Monaco in that there’s more of the drivers racing the track than each other...which is interesting for about 20 minutes.

Even Seb knows that Baku was boring as all fuck.

Meh, fuggit. We are the only CONCACAF side to make the semis in South America’s tournament. We went farther than our only real continental rivals, who just got curbstomped 7-0 by Chile. That’s worse of a beating than Brazil put on Haiti. There are no expectations of us beating Argentina even if we had our full squad,

Meanwhile...

While Chile aren't necessarily the good guys, watching this match and seeing the utter destruction of El Tri was amazingly gratifying.
