We are just getting started on rebuilding our industrial capabilities.  China and Korea are about to have a worker-shortage like we’ve never seen.  We are going to have to be able to make things locally instead of using Chinese slave-labor to pay for the things that we’re cheap about.  To push this development, the

I’ve never understood why Dodge didn’t put the Challenger front end on all these cars.

I think most of what was wrong with the Aztek is fixed with bigger wheels (except the very humble mechanical origins). If you ponder it, the Aztek is widely coppied.  The same concept has gotten us swoopy, less useful, SUV (where the V stands for Vanity) designs from Porsche, Mercedes, and BMW.  If you just melt most

Even people who are not outwardly ill with the virus can still spread it and are actually quite contagious. You can also get it, be completely symptom free, and still spread it. The vaccine keeps the people who are then exposed from becoming seriously ill, as does some immunity that pretty much every human on earth

I don’t even know why you’d pay stick for an electric Hyundai until it can use the Tesla network. Especially one that will need to charge constantly with that very short range.

How do we get 1 kid with measles on every trip. It will make FANTASTIC Vegas betting for the number of infected by the end of a cruise.

Jalopnik is part of the advertising arm of Kia/Hyundai anyway.

Not complaining, just a theoretical question.  Looking at the length of this, the extra window, and the general shape.  Isn’t this a station wagon?

I’ve never liked SBC’s movies.  They make me so uncomfortable that I just want to run away.  But this kinda stuff just is so far beyond the pale that I’m just speechless.

At this point, knowing that the vaccine doesn’t prevent the virus’ spread - I can’t find fault with someone (other than being kinda dumb) for not getting vaccinated.  But having a big pout because someone chose to wear a mask on a plane?  That’s just a big baby crying baby tears.

Stainless steel does show stuff on it.  But this picture has been run through a filter of some sort as well.  None of the colors look right and it might even bee a cut-paste kind of thing.

Another day, another douchy hit piece about Teslas... Wonder how many Hyundai Group things are being slobbered over. It’s a slow day, just 2 videos. One talks about what a great EV the Hyundai is despite the lack of a charging network and so so range, and another talking about a CUV like it’s a Range Rover or a lifted

My biggest complaint about the engine, separate from the trucks, is that it’s just direct injected.  Ford at least puts duel injectors in it’s motors so that they don’t clog with carbon deposits. That would be enough, along with the body not rusting, to get me into the ford... if you didn’t need 60k go get a heated

Diesel is just so so gross.  It not only makes green house gasses but the particulate is cancer-causing.  It’s one of those things that sounds like a win but is a huge loss. Wish it weren’t so.

I think if you get the 2.7 and don’t go faster than 65 mph you might do ok. But... YIKES

So if you build something that weighs 6000 lbs, move it around with a gasoline engine that wastes 2/3 of the energy in the fuel, and make it slip through the air about as sleekly as a barn door, you’re going to waste lots of fuel?  Sounds right.  Maybe, just maybe, pickup trucks are a vulgar and wasteful indulgence in

Today’s Tesla Shitpost... So the car that has 1,500,000 preorders vs the truck that can be had on any lot for 5-15k off sticker... SHOCKING. Great journalism. The truck in front is a Chevy.

I believe the phrase is “reamed her out.”

First of all, this is just horrible and as a husband and a dad - I can’t imagine. I also can’t help but think even if we say the Tesla design is a bit self-indulgent or gratuitous or penny-pinching - I fear something else was going on here.

Another day, another hack piece of “journalism” on this website. It’s a prop for Hyundai / Kia on one half and a shady take-down page against Tesla on the other. The reason the prices went down is because retail prices went down. The Bolt from that era had no federal money and now it’s got $7500. Same for the Teslas.
