The AWD also puts power down more effectively in every situation, dry or wet.  Every powerful car that has AWD is going to be faster than it’s RWD equivalent.  Try racing a Hellcat against the Jeep with the Hellcat.  You’ll catch it eventually, but the race will already be over.

It’s so strange how little artistic greatness and personal greatness correlate. Jackson made great music and yet, even aside from the abuse allegations was a sad, strange, drug-soaked, pathetic life. Isolated, scarred, egomaniacal, and almost certainly pedophilic. I don’t really think there can be a lot of doubt about

Where I live it’s Snapchat for virtually everything if you’re under 20 years of age. They also use Instagram but view FB as a parental-surveillance device.

I kept instagram because it cut out the political propaganda. I dont’ miss all the angry people at all.

I don’t like the Sky at all.  It’s like putting Accord headlights on a Miata.  But everyone is entitled to their opinion, no right or wrong.

That’s not the case with many applications of traction control with AWD or electronic LSDs.  They use the brakes to over or under-drive wheels to change how quickly the car turns.

a small caveat to turning would be awd systems that can vary where power goes to help a car turn faster.  Honda’s SH-AWD would be an example.  The driver probably wouldn’t know it was happening but the car would be helping.

Roger is giving you the better answer here.  Particularly with a good awd setup that can vary where the power goes, or with a locked-in system that always drives all 4 wheels, you’re not going to spin tires trying to merge into traffic or pull onto the highway - or even just accelerate fast to get away from an 18

This is a poorly made argument most of the time - usually with Tirerack as a sponsor... First of all, tires matter. You need to have ones that are appropriate to the climate you live in. Duh. No arguments there. Second - RWD is ok if you don’t need to start on a hill in really snow weather. If you often do, you’re

They need someone who actually can sound Scottish for cryin’ out loud.  That guy from Outlander would work, or the guy who was Rob Stark... there a lot of options.

But there’s no way to fit lettering on 30 series tires! :-)

I’m sure I’m in the minority here, and no disrespect to the fans, but I HATED THAT WING.  Not only because it ruined the very very nice lines of the car, but it also inspired an entire generation of awful wings (3000 GT, Eclipse, STi, etc.).  It’s ugly, I have no idea if it’s helpful, but it’s ugly.  What the Supra

I thought that skit was the most open and scathing commentary and calling out R Kelly has ever (until this tv show) had.  Making a terrible person into a laughing stock is not the wrong thing to do.

There are a couple real-world things at play here.  Crossovers are the majority profit-drivers now so they cost a premium over the sedan.  Cars have a lot more equipment and safety tech that also costs money.  Mine also has all the options.  For comparison’s sake, a Mazda CX-5 with similar trim but less equipment and

I was thinking the generation prior to that one. My bad.

The dealership email thing is BEYOND BELIEF because it even extends to extremely high end cars and evaluating cars that there is no way on earth, are subject to normal wear and tear. In 2015 I bought a 2013 C4S that had 680 miles on it for a gigantic discount. I had it for about 3 years and though it was CPO’d I

Not saying you’re wrong, but some perspective. I don’t think I’d have bought one for that price, but we paid about 32k for mine. To compare, the Honda CRV with 50 or so fewer horsepower is about that much money, and the new Mazda turbo is about 38k if memory serves. But the Sportage also has heated seats, and wheel,

my guess is that to keep combustion temps in the low range, this car runs very rich so when it is on boost, it uses a lot of fuel.  More gears would help, but would also make it a bit less responsive.

Nope.  Mine drinks gas at about 19-20 mpg.  I drive slightly faster than the average person and drive mostly either short trips or 40 min+ on the highway.  My guess is that they run this motor very rich for durability reasons (so it doesn’t run really hot).
