I was frankly shocked that the car has gotten heavier. The Cayman is a great car but it’s not a classic Porsche yet - the front end is wrong. I don’t know what the solution is. But shame on Porsche for making the car fatter.
The new “classic” option package, with retro styled tail lights and painted SUV plastic on the rear bumper... $5000.
I traded a C4S for a Corvette, but the Z06 is a disaster. It’s much too powerful for a RWD-only car and IT OVERHEATS. You can say they “fixed” it but the Camaro with that motor has more radiators than cylinders. No thanks. You also will fight the traction control constantly because without it the car is as spin-happy…

I’m not sure what the “this” is, but if you mean why do they use steel wheels, it’s because aluminum wheels crack/shatter where steel only bends. So there is less chance of a blowout that can cause a terrible accident in extreme driving.

If you leave the TC on entirely, the difference between the two cars (they are identical otherwise in suspension and tires etc.) is minimal. The Z06 is traction-limited, not power-limited.
