Well they made the Q7 so car-like it is tough to tell the difference other than this being less minivan-like. It does seem like a bit of a pity that the car cannot be had with the 6 cylinder motor instead of just the 4. I don’t need a true off-road vehicle, but if I’m honest the extra ride height makes it easier for

Just to confirm (I’m skimming a lot because there is so much car news today) this is a v6? Why so underpowered then? I thought the 3.0 was going to be a Lincoln-Only. Is this the 2.7 from the F150?

leave a bit of ride height for those of his in hilly, curby places. Otherwise AMEN.

I’m sure it took a half dozen strippers to console pacman after the game...

Holy .... are you an enabler. Watch the game again and follow Burfict. He also ran and elbow dropped a running back who was down. He choked a lineman who blocked him and they ended up on the ground in a scrum. He kneed a quarterback in the throwing shoulder, he’s twisted ankles, torn knee ligaments, and hit a receiver

I think in the short term, dumping a VW diesel is going to be harsh. In a few years, unless there is a known reliability issue, things will pan out.

That’s an Espace - they kinda tried to go a bit crossover on this model generation. It is somewhat small by our American concept of what a minivan needs to be able to haul. Looks quite nice though.

Just the shifter is different. The picture was probably a euro-model. I do not think Land Rover offers a manual transmission in the US market. The entirety of the other differences can be summed up with one word: color. It’s beige instead of black. Just a few alternatives to show you what I mean about the design. Both

I don’t really disagree on any of the points you make - except for the interior of the Land Rover. This is supposed to be impressive? It looks very cheap.

X1, X3, Q5, ecoboost Explorer, XC60, or even a Subaru Forrester XT. If mileage is the big concern - get a CX-5 and save 13k. Hell, for almost 50k you can get a 4door F150 with Ecoboost!

Save the 3rd row, which I’d guess is tiny - a CX5 performs the same and handles as well or about 32k (20ish less). An X5 will drive rings around it. The q5 in the mid 40s can be had with 300+ horsepower. That price will also get you into a Ford Explorer Sport with 350hp and a third row and very similar styling. The

Looks nice but is pokey and pricey. Can certainly admire the style but that money can certainly buy a different CUV that’s more reliable, quicker, more efficient, or all three at once.

I’d have to say, that having looked at it for a while. I think that what this car really seems like a development of, is the first generation Mercedes A Class - with the design of the floor and the overall shape. The fact that it’s electric but has a decent range - just makes it a viable car.

For the small minority of people who care exclusively about going fast, no contest. Duh. But that is not even close to the reality of the market. CUVs sell better at inflated prices than sedans, and no one buys wagons. Trucks outsell everything. Speed is a niche. I love fast cars, but I’m not kidding myself that I’m

Get Hard (awful) and The Last Airbender (worst movie ever).

And surely we need that extra carbon in our air.

Cool cars are driven by uncool people. By your math, we would be saying that BMW is the most uncool car out there because so many of their drivers seem to be new rich show offs. Or Corvettes driven slowly in the slow lane by old men with gold bracelets. Both of those cars are still cool cars. Just not cool drivers.

I think they also need to introduce some new aspects to the game so each year doesn’t feel like a costume and set change - but rather a reimagining of the franchise. I’d also suggest COMPLETELY ELIMINATING the modern parts of the game. They are stupid.

Yeah if the hybrid were 50k I would have tried to pry one from my local dealer. Got a Volvo XC R instead - but to me Acura is probably Volvo’s closest competitor with regard to safety.

This is all I see when I look at it. :-(
