One more point comes to my mind. This may sound a bit defeatist. If you take away Caddy's limited cachet - this is essentially a 4 door version of the next Camaro. Other than luxury features and some infotainment, this is a Camaro SS. If anyone has ever checked out an ATS I don't think that anyone would claim that

I think this has a chance to be the best American performance car overall. I do agree with the statements that Caddy has gotten ahead of itself. I think what they needed to do is follow the model that Lexus did at launch. Sell the car pretty much at a loss and build buzz by offering an amazing product. They are

Yeah I'm with you, I prefer this new Saab-esque grill to be more on the same level as the headlights so it doesn't look like rodent teeth.

Alas, Transmissions by Lucile has yet to invade the blogosphere :-/

Very cool - perhaps it's part of the Zeitgeist that my first reaction was to think to myself "I bet someone is making this in Minecraft right now..."

I know this is just pointing out some fun archeology, but keep in mind that this guy was born in Bethlehem... except he is from Nazareth... I know I know - this is a pointless debate. There was a really interesting book in the last couple years that compares Jesus of Nazareth (a man) with Jesus of Bethlehem (a myth).

I think if anything at all, this shows how willing people are to rationalize things that make them uncomfortable. I don't think this kind of farming is more or less horrible than others. Industrial farming is efficient and it's also disgusting. It's also the only choice we have at the moment unless people really

I havent had an iphone since the 5 so im not sure about functionality - but android lets you bluetooth media and not phone calls. Dig around the menus.

but the sound quality is ewwww.

That is why I got a 911

That's what I call my 2 year old daughter. You win the internet in my book :-)

And seriously, between the record cold, beheadings, feet of snow, tsunami warnings, and for all I know a Godzilla sighting, can't we just say this made us all smile?

It looks like it has hipster glasses. I like the Passat but they totally ruined the front end. There is waaay to much going on up front. The rest of the car is pretty.

We had a CX5 and it was the most painfully slow car I've ever owned. I'd advise Madza on a couple levels. Improve the awful mouse fur carpeting because it feels cheap. Completely redo the nav unit. It's embarrassing. And come up with 200 hp as a base engine and 250 for the optional engine - just like everyone

The two killer words I've heard in association with it are "Town Car." It is nice looking and has some power but it's also a Kia and I don't care if it's cheaper, it's still too expensive. They would have been better to have competed in the 40-50k range for a model cycle or two before taking this step.

Yeah when that car came out I said it was a car for people who are very snobby about going slow. Who cares if I'm doing a powerslide if I'm only going 25 mph? They need sports car rubber and 50-100 more hp. Then you would have a nimbler 370Z type car instead of a Miata without the top-down cruising appeal.

That is the worst restyle I've ever seen on a modern car. The original was nicely proportioned but had a yuck interior and no power. The current model hurts my eyes.

They don't beyond an overly bland front end treatment on the SS. The Pontiac was much nicer looking imho. But the details of the SS are all RWD muscle and the Malibu is clearly a fwd car and not a very well styled one at that. Inside the differences are profound.

Most people think it's ugly and the similarly capable Explorer is sitting on the lot. It's that simple.

I think the fact that neither car is promoted has something to do about it. They also loaded the Chevy up with so much equipment that the average Chevy driver / performance junky doesn't put a priority on. I had a G8 GT but I paid about 31 for and the sticker was 34. This car is asking at 12k more than that and the
