If they were 18 at the time they did it, there is very, very little chance they won’t be tried as adults, because they are legally adults. I would imagine zero chance in CO, but I don’t know that for sure.

A different sort of stupid really isn’t an improvement. And given how few robocars there are, and how few miles they travel, and how ideal the conditions they are allowed to do it in are, they really do a lot of stupid.
Can’t you just call it a compilation of trackday crashes? There isn’t really much idiocy in this set of clips, and despite crashing these guys are already better than most for taking it to the track instead of going street racing.
This headline sounds like a whole lot of, *I* wouldn’t crash, mm-mmm, not me, I’m a *good* driver, nothing bad could happen to me, not like these morons, nope.
Buick Rendezvous. Just looking at the first gen makes me physically angry, like some sort of reptillian fight or flight response. Kill them all with fire.
I mean, it specifically says “one of it’s drivers”...
70,oo0 pounds of truck and beverage.
Something seems off. over a 1,000 miles in a day? At a more than realistic 50 mph average that truck would have been driving for 21 hours. Add in load/unload time and charging time and that is a complete 24 hours.
AMC Matador Coupe. Lard ass, bug-eyed, and droopy waist. WTF?!?
When chain-link fence is your design inspiration
Isn’t this site about cars?
I’ve had this conversation like 2 or maybe 3 times on here ever so saying it’s happening on every AV article is a little silly. And even if that actually happened, not sure why that would offend you. People having arguments/conversations in the comments section has been a thing since forever. Do you say the same thing…
Could not disagree more
Don’t know what I would do if someone were thrown under my vehicle and under my rear wheels, probably drive off of them so they weren’t pinned though.
They won’t reach any significant level of efficiency because roads will still be dominated by human drivers in the future and any improvements to infrastructure to assist automated cars will still be lacking then as well. They also won’t get anywhere close to the level of safety that’s been promised because, no matter…
I see no difference in what a driver would have done, except not getting out of the car seeing what the problem was and then moving the car.
He deserves some quality time in a small room to think about the error of his ways. 5-10 years, perhaps.
I’m in my 50's, you’d better believe that I’m hoping that self driving cars will be practical and affordable by the time I’m too old to safely drive.
Remember that dude in New York using his Range Rover appropriately when faced such harassment and danger? Yeah, more of that please.
These stupid fucking cars are just an answer to a question no one is asking!
