I would think Melrose to be expendable, but outside of the veteran anchors (Namely SVP Levy and Anderson)none of the on air talent seems to be aware of the NHL at all, so they almost forced there hand to have a hockey correspondent like melrose.

Personally I hate Melrose, but with the surge of young superstars emerging in the NHL, You’d be wise as a sports network to have staff dedicated to the coverage of the sport.
