Its hard to defend the bears, but Glennon is youngish and was decent his first and second year in the league before giving way to Jameis.

Thats a good point, I live in the Philadelphia area and Ed Snyder ( the now deceased owner) did a lot for youth hockey. And I’m pretty sure Joe and Jimmy Watson (two former players) built a couple of the local rinks

Don’t you think though with the frequency of national broadcast hockey games that a kid like Matthews would have garnered an interest in the sport regardless of wheter the coyotes were in town or not.

as an amateur golfer who cant putt his way out of a paper bag the sound of a putt falling is pretty sweet.

I love the snipes that go bar and in. Unfortunately, as a flyers fan the most common sound is the shot whizzing by everything into the glass or boards.

Now playing

Comcast Sportsnet has 2 channels in my neck of the woods one of them was showing Jack Russel terrier races yesterday, not bad content being stoned on a sunday, certainly beats the combine

gambling and

good thing Sam Bradford throws so many ducks

+3 hours of my life I’ll never get back

Better to try and fail with James Dolans money than not try at all right?

Just to be clear I wasnt aruging with you, I think we both wish Doan could’ve played for a few more winning teams. But at the same time, maybe he deserves some credit for not Cup chasing in his latter years. Just look at how that turned out for Iginla.

I wasnt saying he was, but I don’t get good vibes from hearing that a key piece of the team is getting bone marrow injections*. 2020 was also more of a pessimistic exaggeration.

I may be a bit off in my memory but at best weren’t they a fringe playoff team when tippet took over for Gretzky, and besides that they were a cellar dweller for much of Doans career

If the 76ers treatment of past injuries have taught me anything we won’t see embiid and simmons til atleast 2020.

Doan should get a trophy for staying with the coyotes all these years. We could call it a participation trophy.

That reminds me of Dave the Hammer Shultz of the flyers teams in the 70s, and the wrestler Dave Shultz wo was shot and killed by one of the DuPonts. Also interesting that Dave Shultz played with Moose Dupont (no relation to the Dupont who shot and killed the other Dave Shultz)

The Michael Jordans one played for Penn in the late 90s and I think the other guy played for the wizards

I’m pretty sure they told Jeff Bridges to do Crazyheart sans guitar
