We don't really have good numbers on female rapists (because they pretty universally define rape as penetrating someone else, so you get the women who stuck their fingers up some guy's ass, but not the ones who forced a guy to have PiV sex), but given recent research on male victims and lgbtq relationships, yeah, it

.

How is it that there are such high rates of violence in women's same-sex relationships, when there are no men in the relationships? Is it that the abuse simply has no perpetrator, only a victim? This would certainly explain why, in 2015, there is only a single study on lesbian abusers; there is no need to study

I didn't take issue with you speaking, I took issue with you speaking problematic things. Saying something while feminist doesn't make that speech morally righteous.

I think it's sort of ironic that you're talking about what all abusers have in common, but the expert you're going with is a guy whose attitude towards same-sex abuse is "yeah it's really hard because you can't just look at them and tell which one is the abuser, whereas with hetero couples the only info you need is

That's awesome that you've never run into that issue! I've run into so much abuse apology from feminists that I'm honestly much more likely to share my abuse stories with non-feminist men. Please stop hearing about this issue and turning it into a #notallfeminists.

It's frustrating that you guys are only concerned with the violence LGBTQ people experience when it's straight people beating us up for being gay; when we bring up our experiences with abuse in our relationships, it becomes "but it's overwhelmingly men beating women, so could you please stop acting like female abusers

It's hard to prove anything is the cause of domestic violence, but being exposed to abuse and neglect as a young child has a lot more evidence backing it than misogyny or entitlement, especially across different abuser populations.

I can't believe you're leaving us!!! I hope Cosmo treats you amazingly. <3

Feminist porn isn't a sub genre of lesbian porn (even though most of those involved in making feminist porn are lgbt); there's a decent amount of het feminist porn, as well.

Well, that's probably cuz the only people who are bothering to share their edible stories are the ones who had a bad experience with it. "I ate a couple bites of this brownie, and then an hour later I was appropriately high, and enjoyed watching cartoons with my friend before drifting off to sleep" really doesn't make

No, that's Chait's point; I was merely calling him a hypocrite.

Yeah, have been for several years now, but things really exploded last year.

ANDREA TWERKIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The thing is, Chait totally is bothered by microaggressions. Like, the microaggression where black people on Twitter call him a "white dude" in a dismissive tone. He wrote an entire article just to complain about how awful microaggressions are, just when they're directed at him.

Trust me, I'm at heart a no-fun second-wave Dworkin-esque feminist and in my daytime hours I am liable to obsess over the problematic nature of ANY kind of sexual objectification.

Why are people so upset that a woman who espouses anti-feminist views isn't identifying as a feminist? Weren't you guys all enraged when Sarah Palin said she was a feminist?

It probably has to do with men being unlikely to file an EEOC complaint. It's pretty well-documented that certain jobs do favor women, and men are pushed to do different, often more prestigious jobs (the "glass elevator"). But I'd imagine it's rare that a man gets pressured into management and decides to deal with

Fourth wavers: they're the new second wavers, but slightly dumber, and less critical of capitalism.

No, this is some weird myth that won't die. It's about being incapacitated, not intoxicated, and the laws reflect that.
