Being high strung is a lab trait, not a standard poodle trait.  Maybe the little ones are like that, but labradoodles are supposed to be labs mixed with standard poodles.

You have to be careful about what kind of mix you get. Do lots of research first. Not all doodle pups come out with poodle fur as a dominant trait. Some seem curly and shed, some have fully straight fur (like my doodle), and some have straight non-shedding poodle fur. It’s a bit of a crap shoot.

Poodles get around. I’m sure most rescue agencies have a couple poodle mixes hanging around at any given time. Our rescue seems to be a poodle mix. Maybe Yorkie and Border Terriers in there? He sheds very little and has little to no dander, and is irresistible.

You would probably manage well with a standard poodle. It all has to do with dander. Doodles are quite adorable though!

I walk dogs. Labradoodles are a little more work because they are spirited and goofy, but they’re charming and sweet too. Definitely not the most difficult breed. 

Anecdotal, I know, but I know of two good boys of this breed with really lovely personalities. I have to say they both have had extensive medical issues, from a dental overbite to needing eye surgery. The breed did explode pretty fast, and it’s sad to see any animals suffer because of commercial demand.
