I am sure those guys are a special unit. Most special operations forces and reconnaissance units favor speed and mobility over heavy armor.

London needs the foreign investment money more than LA does.
These are probably the same assholes that London has been dealing with for years.
Although car people know the difference, I don’t think your average person will. It is easy to arm chair quarterback about comparison tests. However I browsed through both as I was car shopping for my wife last week and I think they are close enough.
In many ways the technology has plateaued. The GT-R and 911 Turbo are so fast because of their insanely complicated AWD systems and transmissions, both of which are too expensive for this application. The fastest ‘Ring time was set back in 1983 and hasn’t moved in more than 30 years. There is only so much potential…
I believe this would have been true 5-10 years ago but Ford has stepped up their game so far, combined with VW pushing more “mass market” cars, I don’t know if the average person will be able to tell the difference.
I think that it’s pretty great. It is more than you need to commute and for under $40k it is amazing. Granted in the era of GT-Rs and 911 Turbos running to 60 in less in 2.x seconds it feels slow, but I bet your but dyno wont know the difference.
Looks will always be subjective, I personally think it looks great because it has the quirky Alpha design. Many cars are starting to look exactly the same.
Granted I have little knowledge of naval warfare, but this seems like a pretty great idea. A large floating base to provide hundreds of missiles for fire support would be an incredible asset. Though it could also represent a very soft and valuable conflict. I am sure someone in the Navy has written a white paper…
Isn’t “track-ready Ariel Atom” redundant?
Probably because she made $55 million. Can we follow up with an expose on why Mayweather has 3 Bugattis?
The U.S. President’s security hasn’t changed with this one, also, he doesn’t set the rule. The Saudi King uses his to to show powerful and important he is.
See the Saudi Arabian Royal Palace for an example.
For the Saudis it is less about being pragmatic and more about peacocking their power and wealth.
You could be right. By my reasoning, which is only my opinion of course, there was only a couple cars you could have bought in 2000-2005 which responded very well to modifications and could make huge power. Now there are many which can do the same thing, maybe even better in some case.
I think that the Supra bubble is winding down. For the money some ask you can get a 996 911 Turbo, an M3 with a HPF turbo, or a couple 335s.
Yes. It is so much cheaper than paying for spies. Chinese aircraft carriers broke the news when a ship builder published their contracts to build them. Russian and Chinese planes are outed by “aviation enthusiasts” who take photos and publish them to their blogs. Russian troop movements around Ukraine were tracked by…
NASA does really cool stuff. Get off their nuts about it.
I care a lot about mileage, I used to not, but as cars and my life grow more complex, I have to.
I love my car, but I live in DC and commute through terrible traffic everyday. I do not really get to enjoy my car like I should.
In Jalopland people criticize car decisions they cannot afford anyway and apparently have time to be constantly fixing cars.
