What sort of power can you expect with those modifications?

Ok.
That’s very considerate of them. To many people leave ~6 feet of space between their car and the next.
Ok sport, I am sure you are really smart and strong.
Everyone picks up some tech from other countries, hell the Marine Corps drives G-Wagons and the Stryker is originally Canadian.
That has absolutely not “been established.” The Air Force plans pretty far into the future and publish plans. They also don’t really care whether you agree with them.
The F18 was designed nearly 40 years ago. Threats have evolved to make it less survivable on a modern battlefield.
This is a wildly untrue statement. What NATO countries use primary US equipment? Even the UK’s Apaches are manufactured according to their specification, not the US’s.
This is a very true statement. A quick google of his name shows that most people with any actual experience or knowledge think that he is a blowhard prick. Writing a blog on Gawker subsidiary doesn’t bring solid bona fides.
I’m just going to go back to the original post:
Is your opinion based on years of combat flying and acquisition experience or the things you have read on the internet?
This is Foxtrot Alpha, where people do not think for themselves and only read biased information that supports their view point. If you disagree you get attacked, the group-think here is amazing.
FA commentators would have simply recommended replacing every plane the Danes have with an A10 and calling it day.
I read a lot of blogs and stuff so I know things!
Oh yes, bring on the internet scholars who know more about what the Danish Air Force needs then the Danish Air Force!
The difference between a Nazi and Buddhist swastika is the same as the difference between the German and Belgian flag.
If it was Buddhist it would be square with the front and side of the car, not rotated 45 degrees. It is a really easy distinction to make.
Are you hoping someone will link this to an RX forum for the most pageviews in Jalopnik history?
That is super convoluted and messy. There is absolutely no reason to transfer and aircraft to the only one of the services without a significant fixed-wing fleet. Leave the damn thing in the air force, whose job it is to fly and provide air support.
It makes absolutely no sense to give the army the A10. Where are they going to get the maintenance, training programs, airfields, ect to run it? Planes cost a lot of money and the marine corps already has the resources to maintain them.
Most of them used in the US are soft tops with negligible rollover protection. Keeping in mind how much they weigh, rollovers kill a lot more Service Members then you would imagine.
