Here Again

If only we could all be as special and interesting as you.

Why? All you gain by not caring about a source of entertainment is a failure to be entertained. That's a loss for you, with no upside, other than your ability to brag about not caring, but that just makes you insufferable, which also seems like it would be a net loss for you.

R.I.P. Interview With A Vampire wrtier Anne Rice”

I am freakin PUMPED! I been drinking green tea all day!

Unless you’re Wes Anderson, who I would imagine has the clout and the control on his sets to be able to tell someone like Norton to shut the fuck up and hit their marks.

Actually, this might be the least-douchiest thing he’s ever written. Completely inessential and pointless, sure, but on the obnoxiousness scale, this really only gets maybe four or five out of ten possible Barsantis.

This is peak Barsanti, shut the website down, it can’t get any worse.

Ahh, a non-news story that admits as much and also sounds like it was written by someone who holds only disdain for the material referenced. Gotcha.

I’ve been thinking a lot about this, and I think that 30-40 minutes is the perfect length for an album. Not just because it fits conveniently on vinyl, but because it forces refinement of track selection, provides a sense of immediacy, and goes out before it gets old. I’d rather listen to one great 35 minute album

Happy to see this fine, underappreciated album get some love. My only complaint about it is also sort of a compliment. It’s frontloaded and starts to feel sort of thin toward the end. But since it’s very much a road album, literally made on the road, it actually seems appropriate that as it goes on you get this sense

They died there against a myriad birthed from beyond the edge of all prospects, bent beneath horrors unremembered by time and lost amidst a sky sprent with stars no pilgrim would dare count, no prostitute dare curse. A ragged troupe silhouetted upon their wizened coursers, bivouacked against the sempiternal torrent

So I will be the first to say it then: I’m in. I even loved the non kosher reboot.

Don’t leave Shane MacGowen out of that trio who will be sharing a drink during the apocalypse (though Shane is looking a little worse for the wear these days).

Yeah, if anyone told me ten years ago that Iggy Pop would outlive his buddy David Bowie, I would have been skeptical.

Oh cool, it's the person that doesn't like or understand something so they're suspicious that other people that like the thing they don't are lying about it

I don’t know how old he is now, but it seems like he never really got over that.

It was a moderate success in theaters and got positive enough reviews. It built up an enormous following soon afterwards from rentals and running endlessly on cable. My best guess is Barsanti was thirteen at the time and thought everything sucked.
