For me the issue isn’t so much that she’s had plastic surgery and hasn’t aged like the majority of women her age — it’s the fact that people pretend that she’s some supernatural being.

If it’s not jealousy, then what is it? Why be bothered that someone is spending money differently than you? Why have to make a point of trying to prove that you feel morally superior because you found a dress for $50 or $100? So their dress is different than yours. WHO CARES.

No, i’m hating on people who don’t seem to have ever grasped the concept that some people are going to make decisions that differ from their own. People who vilify others who can afford lifestyles or choices they cannot, and then have to convince themselves their decision was “reasonable” and others’ were frivolous.

I don’t, sadly - my job keeps me busy pretty much 8 hours a day and my office is an open work space so I would get busted for reading anything, lol. I keep hoping there will be some awesome new third-wave feminism blog but I don’t want to hold my breath :/

I rarely even come to Jezebel anymore. It reached critical mass when it was a sport for the blogger to come into the comments and argue with anyone who dared disagree with them.  All the best writers are long gone. I like Madeleine and Bobby, and that’s about it.
