PvE mode is the #1 disappointment by a galaxy leap. The other stuff are niche annoyances that bothered small groups. PvE hit everyone - very few players are neutral on this one. I don’t know a single person who isn’t pissed about PvE - and I have been involved in the community since launch and never got out of it.

No those are mostly decisions Blizzard got right - those are all niche decisions good for some players but all minorities and not even with much overlap. 6v6 from a game design standpoint was an absolute mess and could not be balanced, nor was it fun as a tank to play.

AI is an inevitability.

Every live service game’s community is consistently outraged and furious. I play or have played just about every single one. Not only that - but it’s at its worst point in almost every single community in 2023.

Where is anyone saying you have to buy the game lmao

Every loading screen now shows you and your party like 50% of the time.

A lot of children don’t have parents who give a damn or give varying levels of a damn. And they are more likely than others to want to run away with a stranger. It’s sad but true.

That’s still the reason though. Not sure I get your point.

Yeah I had a similar thought - but I also think this can serve as a deterrent as they don’t have the certainty they can avoid capture.

Article really unclear and doesn’t get across the context.

But not the content of Sony emails?

Diablo 2 was the same. What are you talking about?

Agreed, non-ladder play has always been viable and I imagine Diablo IV will have the most trickle down content of any mainline Diablo game. But I do agree there is a lot more routine content in the game that will suck to redo every season.

Diablo 2 is orders of magnitude slower to level in compared to Diablo 4. Diablo 3 made leveling a non-issue. Which then lead to a TON of negative feedback and thus paragon levels were added which never ends.

I think it’s way funnier that Reddit has apologists willing to write this kind of screed in their defense, than it is people taking up the cause on the other side. Like bro, Reddit doesn’t need you defending them, I promise.

This is 100% false information. Go make a character. It absolutely does not say this nor is this reality.

You are actually deranged - why did you spam this many comments and with entirely wrong information?

Thank you. None of this made any sense. I had a psychopath losing his mind over this too, blatantly making up information that wasn’t true.

I’m not defending them, but the reality is most players who buy this will be overlapped with players buying the Battle Pass so it’s a net $5 cost. And I think the intent here is to convince more players to opt into Battle Pass so they join the game’s attention economy. Hence the “bundled” 1000 coins.

Not sure what indicates it’s a happy ending. Most of the endings are tied to someone promising you they can fix you and not being able to deliver. This is likely another variant of that.
