@HPPalm: I didn't compare it to Assassin's Creed actually, you just did. You just asked me 'Do you just not enjoy 3rd person adventure games with rich storytelling" I replied, and the rest you constructed yourself. But, if you think that the fact AC is open world stops it from being a suitable comparison to Uncharted,

@HPPalm: No, I like Assassin's Creed a lot.

@kittenboo: Yeah, unfortunately Kotaku's comment system works in a way that if you are a starred commenter, whichever post you reply to will get promoted even if you don't want/doesn't need to be promoted. Its a little annoying but I'd rather reply to everyone who speaks to me then just refrain because the comment

@Northstar5000: Yeah, I think a lot of people agree with you on that one (being your fav games of the generation) No doubt its charm is there for some people, its just lost on me.

@The Black Pigeon: Thats definitely a valid explanation (not that you needed to explain yourself to me at all, but I enjoy reading none the less)

@ThisLife17: I agree man. As I said to kittenboo, its great when you can discuss things with people without being insulted or acting like a child to get your point across. This is why Kotaku can be great sometimes.

@Christopher Byron Navis: Heh, never got into Zelda myself either. I'm still due to try again though. I think its a video game crime not to be a Zelda fan..

@VinWeasel: Yeah, I know. Ah well. No accounting for taste =P

@kittenboo: Yeah, it's a fair point - I won't lie. I just feel personally that its a pretty standard action game thats no better or worse than a lot of the other games out on the market right now, but as you say, each to their own.

This is awful. I want ridiculous stylistics, slick talking characters, a Street Fighter style announcer, old school hip-hop and COLOURFUL visuals.

@kittenboo: Re: your first paragraph. That is pretty cool, I have to agree. I had a similar experience playing Metal Gear Solid 2 back in the day. I like it when games can have that same effect that a good film or tv show might have, whilst still standing tall on its own gaming merits.

@HPPalm: First of all, define for me what the same genre would be? Thats not me being smart or anything, its just there could be a number of games to compare it to but you might not agree. So tell me a genre and I'll go..

@Patriot Infinity: If you do it consistently like the cast of Uncharted I imagine you are an absolute nightmare to be around.

@Paniaguapo: There were some fun parts, just overall it wasn't such a big deal for me. I found it too boring in parts, especially the shoot outs. I did like that train part though, where you had to jump between moving carriages. That was cool.

@worsethannormal: Maybe, part of my problem with Uncharted was that as opposed to feeling immersed in the game, I felt more like a spectator to a great big action flick. I know what they were going for, I'm not stupid..and I'm just saying I didn't enjoy it, and can't really figure out how its got all the praise it has

@Ignited_Impulse: No need to add a disclaimer about not being a troll - I can tell who is and isn't a troll from a mile off. I respect and read your opinion like I would anyone elses on kotaku (well, save for the idiots that seep through the cracks) I agree, perhaps Uncharteds dialogue is a lot more endearing than

@Alastair-: I have indeed, as previously stated - played both to completion.

@mainachou: Congratulations, heres your comment promotion.

@mowan259: FINAL FANTASY XIII, no..i'm kidding. I don't know really. Off the top of my head, Grand Theft Auto's trilogy this gen was extremely impressive in the aforementioned departments. Red Dead Redemption too.
