What they need to do clearly is give Sonic a back story. Humanise him. Give him some abusive parents, perhaps played out through an origins tale. Give him some deep character development. Have Quantic Dream make the next Sonic game.

@Bubbleman!: I respectfully disagree. But then, I am a self confessed Tekken fanboy so admittedly I can't view this argument objectively. My early gaming days are tainted by Tekken nostalgia, I still regularly play Tekken 2 just for the feel when I'm not gaming pretty obsessively with Tekken 6 online.

So I'm reading these comments. Since when has Tekken been a bad game? Seriously. How are you guys justifying this in the eyes of gaming gods. Tekken 4 was about the only bad Tekken game I've played.

Pity about the music? The music is absolutely awesome. Are you telling me you prefer listening to Linkin Park in Medal of Honor trailers or Eminem in Call of Duty trailers? This is one of the few recent game trailers I've seen that's made an excellent sound track choice to accompany it.

@TimeNeverRests (PS1): I can get with MGS, as it's definitley my favourite gaming series of all time. However, the timeline is pretty murky..a lot of inconsistencies , plot holes and dreaded ret-cons. As a simple trilogy (which it will eventually be) Mass Effect is more comparable imo.
