I think the “pea-shooter” was a gun disguised as a pen, a gag wonderfully set up by “gadgets that never work” discussion.

-He told you that?
What a truly terrible, half-assed, ill-informed write-up.
And I liked that she wasn’t an asshole. That woulda seemed expected and lazy.
The British know the answer to this question.
Wow, I really enjoyed this season. It felt like an actual continuation of the original series, unlike, say, when Arrested Development came back. It’s disappointing that it was only 6 episodes, but I’d rather be left wanting more than see it wear out its welcome. Really hope to see it come back for more, especially…

Mildly hot take: Garden State was a solid-to-good movie that had the enormous disadvantage of kickstarting a mini-genre of shitty twee films that made their inspiration look worse in retrospect. (Easy to look like you’re just abusing annoying tropes when everything in your film becomes a trope immediately after it…
At a whopping 48 minutes, the episode is longer than The Last Of Us’ season finale
Agree!
Favorite jokes was an underplayed one too. It was Beard matter-of-factly telling Ted that his girlfriend is still threatened by how close they are and Ted just accepting it like they’d clearly talked about it before.
“But maybe I’m selling this episode short”
maybe just let people voice their disappointment. Nobody is saying that these performers didn’t do a wonderful job, they just didn’t provide proper representation.
This was an all-timer. The new additions to the cast certainly pulls their weight. And despite “the drug episode” usually being antithetical to comedy (sorry camp 1ers), this was played believably well. Didn’t resort to any druggy visual gags either which I appreciated. So many spit take one liners!
Oh shocking a working actor took a job for work. This isn’t a burn as anyone who is or knows an actor knows. Plus what about this: “I loved the first movie, and the fact that they even wanted me to come in for a callback and then a camera read and then everything in between, I’m so lucky that I got this job,” Zegler…
She worked with Vincent Gallo
Space Jam 2 is egregiously bad. It took everything that gave the original a bit of charm as a kids movie and surgically removed it.
I would put Love & Basketball considerably higher. Definitely better than the one with Ben Affleck as the alcoholic coach.
Nate’s arc will be as follows: West Ham and AFC Richmond will play somewhere around the two-thirds mark of the Premiere League season, and the Ted Lasso season. It’s all building up to this. Rupert wants only to stick it to Rebecca. It should be a rout. And it is. The Greyhounds win! Rupert is furious and all of his…
