DEADWOOD: THE MOVIE spoilers ahead.

I think what sets it apart from most other 90's sitcoms is the cast and the chemistry they shared.

I mean...who else would it be for? I can’t think of what a reunion special could do to appeal to fence-sitters or new potential fans.

To be fair, the review I think assumes that casual viewers are more fanatical than they probably are. The whole “there’s a blooper reel, but we already saw one of the bloopers in a Conan O’Brian special that aired 20 years ago” and “they say some stuff, but a lot of it already came out in that Vanity Fair article in

I went a little cynical into watching the trailer and god damn did I still get a little teary eyed. Sometimes nostalgia is just nice.

Nothing says “This Is America” like a lawsuit.

I appreciate the mention of how Karli and Sharon were underserved by the series’ 6-hour movie feel. One of the virtues that television has over film is that it’s easier to stop for a moment and dedicate time to supporting members of the ensemble without sacrificing the greater story arc of the leads, but Falcon and

It was so disturbing. I don’t think we’d ever seen a character killed on screen like that in the MCU. It made me feel a bit sick, but I think that was part of the intended effect.

The actor says this made him think of Black actors like Gary Coleman and Jimmie Walker, who became synonymous with the catchphrases of their TV counterparts.

This is what I think we’ll happen too. I wonder if Walker will be more and more tempted to take the super serum because he’s struggling to match up to Cap’s legacy and it goes haywire.

It says ‘Neighborhood Kid’ in the credits. I imagine it would be weird if they were saying one thing in the script but they called the character ‘Black Kid’ instead.

If you’re going to get Apple TV, Ted Lasso is the reason to do it.

Where did I defend him?

Hm yes but isn’t it the case for absolutely any witch in any story ?

I guess I just don’t see him as “satirical” so much as a “fairly accurate portrayal of how a government official might react to a potential super weapon”.

I’d laugh if it is just some rando, or not even mentioned and just the macguffin used to get Woo out to New Jersey.

Without an actual mindstone, Vision might very well be more of a programmable robot. That seems like a reasonable goal.

I think the same. That whole Salem scene was setting up the idea of a witch who has dangerous abilities, but doesn’t want to use them for evil. Unlike her mother who lashed out, Agatha probably wants to help Wanda “be good” just like she wanted to be.

There’s a hilarious guess I read on the WANDAVISION subreddit that the guest actor Paul Bettany has been talking about having such great chemistry with is himself.

Elizabeth Olsen for all the awards. What a showcase for her talents this has been.
