I understand that kids can hide almost anything if they put their minds to it, I was one of those kids. But I also have parents skilled at shutting their eyes to things they don't want to acknowledge, so I write from that framework.

This is awful and I can't say anything that will adequately express my fury at parents who very consciously tricked their daughter into believing that they'd forgiven her, then when they'd separated her and her husband, either gave her an ultimatum that she refused to give into or just straight up murdered her.
