I also find it weirdly sexist, like- surely we wouldn’t give Antonoff all the credit for a successful Lorde or Lana album, so why should we assign him all the blame for a mediocre album? Call me crazy, but I think these women are artists with agency.

Well, there goes the one remaining feature that makes this site still worth visiting occasionally.

Have really enjoyed these articles and I’m sorry that this will be the last one.

I’ll miss this column a lot Mike, especially as on Sunday’s there’s little new content on the sites I visit and this was always a really fun read, so thank you for all the time and effort you put in to it and all the best for the future.

Sad to see this column go, but thanks for the ride. I’ve learned a lot of fun facts through this every week and I’ve made a lot of dumb comments down here as well.

Jesus, just when I was about ready to write off this site for good, a thoughtful, insightful long-form piece like this drops at the end of the day.

Ah how I miss the days when the site’s writers knew how to spell the surname of one of the greatest film directors ever known.

How interesting do you think people think this is? A momentary “huh neat” is hardly cause for censure.

I’m very curious about what people describing this stuff as faceless/sell-out pop think the songs on the radio actually sound like these days.

This article is well-written and well thought-out, but unfortunately, it’s completely wrong. Every plot-line is amazing and not a single second should be cut from this messy masterpiece. Thank you and goodnight.

His ‘creativity’? That creepy imbecile deep-sixed his own career aligning himself with the racist Fascist ultra-right. Even his wife Kim say Kayne doesn’t ‘understand’ what it is that he’s defending.

Britain’s ability to fuss over the tiniest and least important details is a feature, not a bug.

With all the talk about Amazon drivers having their tips used to pay their base pay, and several restaurant owners pocketing card tips, I would have hoped that this question would have been better.

I, uh, appreciate the cover of that Jenny Lewis single.

Ready Player One is a flawed movie to say the least, but what’s with the hate for the VFX? At least for once the “video gamey” look of the effects was actually appropriate and not annoying like it is in every shitty superhero film. And say what you will about the script, but Spielberg knows how to construct an action
