It’s not a matter of the line going up. Pre-orders aside, a game doesn’t make money until it is released, so the studio(s) is(are) spending tons of money without generating revenue.

That’s the crazy thing about this. TPC is literally leaving money on table with artificial scarcity. These aren’t Veblen goods. Pikachu’s social cache isn’t based on being hard to get.

If so, then it’s a good thing it isn’t a GT

The GPS on my phone has also sometimes defaulted to walking directions instead of driving directions.  But usually that’s in, say, downtown Seattle and for distances of less than a mile, and not in Android Auto

There’s another factor that probably makes it much easier to crack down on catalytic converter theft in Hawaii than it is in other states:

It’s... you know... an island.

Honestly, it reminds me almost exactly of what Phil Spencer wrote about how the current state of AAA video games (few new IP’s, massive budgets) is because the rise of digital storefronts made it easier for indie studios to create and sell games without needing to put copies on shelves. You don’t need a 9-figure

I think think part of the problem is the gap between Loki seasons. In S1, Mobius did a fantastic job of breaking Loki. Remember that this isn’t Movies Loki, it’s Loki who didn’t get to experience Frigga’s death, the destruction of Asgard, or his own death at the hands of Thanos.

Wallet Flayers.  They’re like D&D Mind Flayers, but with MBA’s.

True, but using console commands disables achievements (if that’s something you care about)

Bill the family for the bullets?

This is Capitalism. These companies, by law, must meet the unending demand of exponentially increasing profits margins

I’d argue it’s somewhere between “Poochie died on the way back to his home planet” and “The mute sniper lady has to be half-naked because she would suffocate otherwise!”

Worse than Nixon or Reagan?!

They literally could have paid a human being to do it

Honestly, this WAS helpful, but not in the way that the author meant it, most likely.

By this, I mean that it identified which AC era Ubisoft went back to, which is the Ezio trilogy. Though they did throw in a smattering of mechanics from later games

Why are all of these fees not rolled into the basic price?

Well, it’s at least in part because car rental companies, unlike airlines, aren’t required by law to show you the total cost upfront. Since they are all competing against one another on Priceline, Kayak, Expedia et al, it incentivizes them to take any cost of

It depends on what you played it on?

My experience was that the poorer graphics of the XBone/PS4 version was so bad that I had a hard time reading menus and spotting enemies at “normal” shooting distances made it difficult to play

I’m surprised he didn’t follow Nikki Haley’s (née Nimrata Randhawa) example and give himself a white name first
