This is spot on. The Lobster was excellent for a few reasons, but the humor sold me on it. Killing of a Sacred Deer was dark without purpose or direction, which at that point is more or less a horror film, but even those have some sense of self-awareness and humor.

I’m with ya, bro. When people start piling on Idi Amin, I get that internet road rage going. I mean, I was 4 when he was a dictat- ERRRR “Leader”, but, I can tell you despite the stories you may have heard, he did run a country and we didn’t, so he certainly wasn’t all bad.

I mean, he was born in Georgia in the 1800's. It’s a pretty fair bet he was a racist asshole, even if he was just a run of the mill racist asshole.

I read two biographies of the man.  He was as racist as the day is long.  Virulent.  Not that he was alone...but he stood out.
