I prefer to spend cash at Taco Bell, so that there is no record of my shame.

This list is missing Ralph and Sue Dibny.  It’s “The Thin Man” with superpowers, with the right cast and script there’s no way it wouldn’t work.

So how many movies need to have a depressed box office until “give the WGA and SAG-AFTRA 100% of what they were asking for at the beginning of the strike” would have actually made them more money?

They made *two* Paddington movies...

For some reason, I was under the impression that when you are actively being sued that “moving on” from the lawsuit is generally a bad idea.  Particularly when you’re being sued by a somewhat notoriously litigious company.

You know, if all he wanted was “you can’t block promoted tweets” and “you can’t block me” he would probably get away with it.  But twitter without blocking is unusable.

Yeah, the “rapid growth” of a competitor to Crumbl can simply be attributed to “perhaps the competitor produces a less awful cookie.”

This is still the only movie I’ve ever seen where I felt like “3D” actually added anything to the experience of watching the movie.

I’ve been able to order something I liked at Chipotle since the 90s, but I always struggle at Qdoba. By nature I’m a sort of a maximalist a la “if it’s free, put it on there” when I’m customizing quick service orders (at Subway I would ask for “everything but olives”) but at Qdoba this always ends up as busy and not

It is neither novel nor interesting to observe that the most popular stuff is not generally that high quality (c.f. McDonalds, Nickelback, The Da Vinci Code, etc.) It’s just in other industries it’s okay if you don’t sell as many hamburgers as McDonalds, just so long as you sell enough to keep the lights on since odds

I started with BECMI. Like, okay, Pathfinder 2nd edition addresses a lot of the same problems with 3.5e that 4e did, and probably came up with better solutions overall.  But 5e is probably my least favorite edition of the entire family of games.

4e > 3.5e>5e IMO.

Elvis is at least rumored to be dead.

I’m pretty sure the actual worst thing about BG3 is “The D&D 5e game engine” which is designed to be stripped down so that it’s accessible and easy to run. During the Pathfinder 2e playtest Mark Seifter (then the lead developer) said “complexity is the currency with which we buy depth” and not using “the computer can

The most charitable thing I can say about someone more concerned with Reagan era “Welfare Queen” nonsense than like “billionaires pay less in taxes than you do” is that they are incredibly bad at math.

It’s possible we should avoid making movies that whitewash the reputations of real people, just in the off chance that an actor is going going to give a career best performance and win an Academy Award. Particularly when the same movie basically denies all agency in his own story to another real person.

It really seems that Musk’s basic problem is that he can’t find any MMA coaches who agree with him that Musk would win easily without really trying.

I’m willing to bet that one reason that Musk was incapable of taking this seriously was that any time he talked to an actual MMA professional they would not immediately admit that Musk would easily win due to his superior size and smarts, and would instead point out things like “uh... the other guy actually has an

I suspect a lot of the people who were really pushing it were doing so for culture war stuff, and once as many people bought the game as were likely to, they stopped caring.

It depends on the thing in question. Like right now Jeopardy is unsure when or if they’ll be able to run the next Tournament of Champions because Jeopardy is a struck show by the WGA but not SAG-AFTRA- because it involves writing but not acting.
