Given that HBO was burying everything they could in order to get tax relief, did anybody believe that they wouldn’t have cancelled the Jaime Reyes movie if they weren’t really impressed with how the movie was coming together?

The thing is, Gal Gadot is not actually a very good actor. I understand that English isn’t her first language and she naturally took to the “fish out of water” stuff from the first Wonder Woman, but I think that’s the extent of her range.  Like every time she opened her mouth in “Death On the Nile” it became farcical.

Wasn’t a fundamental reason that it never took off was that the rooms themselves were kind of cramped and terrible? Which put off the people who weren’t put off by the “$6000 for a 2-night say” price.

There are things that LLMs and other bots can do that are helpful- like come up with names for your D&D NPCs.

I’m a Mass Effect fan and I thought the ending to ME3 was great. Better before the Extended Cut, and not exactly a happy ending but it was kind of the ending that story needed to have. If you’d rather focus on the fanservice of Citadel, that’s fine, but the ending is Canon.

FWIW, finishing 2049 at Evo in Street fighter is *really* good.  The 7000 people who signed up to play were not like “random people who happened to be in Vegas that weekend”.  Basically everybody in attendance was something like “the best player in their local area.”

I think the genesis of the distinction is that Western RPG devs have based their games on actual tabletop games they have played in, which were most often D&D but might have been a lot of other stuff (like Fallout was supposed to be a GURPS game.)

It would be easy to release the Ayer cut under the Elseworld’s branding, the same one they’ll be using to point out that the Joaquin Phoenix Joker movies are about a different Joker than the one Batman will eventually face. Like Margot Robbie is going to be Harley Quinn in the main continuity not Lady Gaga.

I think it’s reasonable to understand that there is a different traditions in “devs who made RPGs for PCs, considering the interface and quirks of that platform, primarily in the West” and “devs who made RPGs for consoles, considering the interface and quirks of those platforms, primarily in Japan.”

This is decidedly not a list of the 16 worst vampire films. Underworld had four sequels, and those returns were diminishing.

Fundamentally the issue is that the fan exhaust is right by the USB ports, and the exhaust is pretty hot and plastic doesn’t like to get hot.  This is probably fixed by “the PS5 slim, or whatever we’re going to call it, having front-facing USB ports.”

Really, by this logic they should just stop producing television and movies entirely.  Think of how much money they would save!

I got some of this on clearance and it’s probably the worst tasting breakfast cereal I have ever eaten.

Looking back, it’s beyond surreal that Gamers™ were exposed to the most milquetoast, feminism 101 stuff like “a whole lot of these games are about damsels you rescue” or “even characters who are abstract shapes are presumed to be masculine, femininity is denoted with accessories like lipstick and a bow” and absolutely

Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure is also Tim Burton’s tightest movie. There’s almost no gristle on it- basically everything in the movie is in service to character, plot, or setting up a gag.

We really don’t need to call it “X.”

I am deeply thankful we got to revisit Pee-Wee in “Big Holiday”.  It wasn’t as good as “Big Adventure” but it was a worthy follow-up.

So like in a “developing RPGs” LLMs are useful for stuff like “I need a name for this artifact” since it can give you 50 options in a hurry and you can see what you like, but you should *never* trust an AI to tell you what the grapple rules are.  These things can even do math!

All of the above are sandwiches.

The weirdest choice was having Geralt *recover* before the end of the season. In the books he was in convalescence for like a year since he basically got every bone in his body broken. This was your opportunity to justify why he looks and moves different going forward- the man was in bed for a year and needed facial
