No such animal as a perfect film, no matter what fans say. All films have flaws even the best. That said IMO Nolan’s trilogy is about the themes he explores more so than the acting. The cinematography is also spot on, again IMO. What I find interesting is how, because Nolan’s films are above average people look extra

I always chuckle because one is sci fi and the other is space fantasy, the distinction is important.

Sweet Jesus, another streaming service!!! Can anyone say oversaturation? I can barely afford the ones I have now.!

You lost me at, Lost...

The sad part is that while false claims today are comparatively rare I am a black man who grew up hearing tales from my father and grandfathers of an era when folks like me were regularly falsely accused of rape (and many never saw a courtroom just a hanging tree) so I have this knee-jerk skepticim about all rape

Wow, just wow.

You are so right about being wary of have-tos especially when it comes to human interactions, real or fictional. There are almost always exceptions and great stories tend to be about exceptions, in more ways than one.

A good lesson that you don’t ever “buy” digital content, at best you lease it.

“…veered dangerously close to pay-to win waters?”

Some people will do anything to get attention.

That microscopic analysis has gotten out of hand and frankly has become annoying. Speculation is one thing, but pointing to every color on some poster, period at the end of a sentence, or hair out of place on some random Porg’s head as the proof that Rey is Greedo’s daughter or some silly crap is getting ridiculous.

Or maybe the people behind the sences recall a time when there weren’t hundreds of people with too much time on their hands, analyzing every inch of every frame of a show with a magnifying glass. Just maybe.

It also needs to be said, Hollywood execs and some audiences are slow to change.

Since when is a communicator on the chest orginal? Kirk carried his on his belt.

Well said, while I agree tonsome extent I think you missed some of the forest for the trees. A huge part of the argument is not that the violence exists, it is integral to the world the game exists in, but rather that they chose to showcase the game with burtal violence without even taking 30 seconds to even make a

Both of you hit on the beauty of what Naughty Dog did, there is no right answer. I have seen such a wide range of “How it should have happened,” comments over the years and no one is any more right or wrong than the next. That is one of the several reasons I rank Last of Us as my top game ever for its story that

I agree, based on Sander’s track record this was just a structural goof as he shifted gears. You show me a person who has never made an unintended juxtaposition when transitioning thoughts and I will show you a lair, or someone who does not communicate much.

I think you are reading reading way too much into Sanders statement. He had just shifted topics, and while the way he shifted may seem like a juxtaposition he has demonstrated through actions in his life that he stands with marginalized communities. I get where you are coming from but I firmly believe he includes PoCs

I like the show but they have yet to give me a good answer for two big questions. 1) Nothing I have seen so far explains why these themes could not be explored in a show set post-Voyager. The Klingons went from enemies to allies, so they could go back again. The muntineer, the special drive, all doable post-Voyager.

VCR tapes had become cheap and recording was tough for some but Babylon 5 was the frist show where I taped every episode.
