Authoritarians have an affection for other authoritarians. Putin does all sorts of things GOPers wish they could here: ban gays and transgendered people, set up a complete oligarchy for themselves and their friends, destroy all opposition, etc.

It’s not enough to simply say he didn’t use them more than others. He issued the fewest Executive Orders per year since Grover Cleveland’s first term. When the GOP suggests in any way that Obama abused Executive Orders, they are blatantly and willfully lying.
Noisy SJWs are merely annoying. Their opposites are extremely dangerous.
1) Donald Trump is a blatant, longtime racist and misogynist. I don’t think the idea that if you voted for him you are a racist and/or misogynist is far off. I wouldn’t phrase it that way myself - I would say that, at the least, anyone who voted for him is at least OKAY with racism and misogyny. And at this point,…
A lot of times the reasons people brush off accusations racism/sexism/whatever is because people don’t think they could be racist or sexist or whatever, and refuse to even entertain the possibility - it’s a lack of self-reflection, not a lack of actual validity in the accusation.
Also, this:
The DNC didn’t anoint her as anything. The Democratic Party voted for her.
She was the chosen candidate of the DNC in 2008 too and she still lost. If Bernie had run a better campaign and Clinton hadn’t spent 30 years creating a network of political pros at her disposal, he would have won.
“Someone remind me why Sanders’ inner circle wrote off the South again?”
They’re on some Mr. Burns-level shit. It’s so blatant.
Also, because the GOP refused to do anything but obstruct, Obama was forced to use the Executive Order to get anything done.
unrelated: when you organize the chart by “Orders Per Year”, Obama’s rate is the only thing keeping Grover Cleveland from having two consecutive spots on the chart and this makes me unfathomably happy
‘mistaken’ is a nice way of putting it, but lets be honest, they absolutely knew he was using fewer and less broad reaching orders than Reagan, Clinton, and Bush (and would have been fewer than Poppy Bush if he’d had a second term). They flat out lied about it to make him look bad.
THIS. It takes two seconds to look up this data but they just say “Barack did the most!”and keep grumbling.
Don’t “both sides” this. Executive Orders have constitutional checks. Congress here just removed one of its checks. Big difference.
I feel like there’s some rule book the Repubicans got that the Dems never did and this is why the right is able to do whatever the hell they want it seems, while the left is forever toeing the line.
Hey guys, I keep hearing that I should stop bitching about DJT because our institutions will protect us.
Actually, it’s about ethics in the Republican party.
It’s really amazing. “They investigated me and found nothing wrong, even though I didn’t do anything wrong. They system is broken!”
If you secretly de-fang a body specifically designed to prevent and punish corruption you may engage in, you are definitely planning on engaging in corruption.
Not just quietly, secretly. Unannounced, behind closed doors, with no roll call or record of votes, on a national holiday, under the wire so there was no time to fight against it. A secret vote to give them explicit control over investigations into their own misdeeds. A decision that keeps them from being accused of…
