What their electorate wants, based on how they just voted, is to have a Democratic governor - the one whose powers are now being stripped. Much like the national electorate voted for Hillary by a margin of 2.6 million votes. In both cases, a majority of votes isn’t enough to win either the NC House or the US House,…
It’s a good thing the democrats essentially fundraised to rebuild that NC GOP building that got destroyed. Really good idea, there. Excellent gesture. Nobody could ever have predicted that the GOP would do this in return.
Democrats need to wake up... you are not dealing with political opponents. With political opponents, there is a baseline agreement on what the rules are and where the boundaries of ethics should be. What we have here is an egregious lack of good faith political participation with a brazen grab for total power by any…
This sort of legislation comes of pure political ignorance. In a state like NC (assuming this legislation holds up in court), it’s likely the next Governor will be a Republican and this move will bite that one’s ass. Stupid and short sighted conservative over-reach (yet again).
Republicans have become a disease.
I just thank God that Kasich is out for term limits this next election cycle. The bastard needs to GO.
Exactly. What about the GOP and fucking Putin, makes anybody think they have a line they will never cross? Peace and love and compromise are awesome goals if your opponent has a conscience. They have none.
Well said, thank you.
I think Obama’s not yelling and screaming because we don’t deserve it.
I am not going to get angry because he tried to stop the ugliness in politics, etc.
Frankly, I wouldn’t blame Clinton (or Obama) one bit if they just flipped us off and went and lived the rest of their lives in peace and luxury.
This. Flood their rural towns and protest. Crowd around their city’s crown jewel (I’m thinking a 24 hr Mc.Donalds?) and raise hell.
A blonde woman leaned over the guardrail to yell, “Better than killin’ babies!”
For the first time in my life, I fear nuclear war.
(And unless it gets dismantled in the process, challenging the Electoral College in this particular way could also leave us with the dangerous precedent of electors trying to independently decide who gets to be president.)

I am against the idea that somehow candidates have to earn our votes personally. The people of Wisconsin knew damn well the differences between Trump and Clinton and it was their duty (as voting is all of our duties, not our whims) to vote for Clinton. It’s not like their differences weren’t clear.
well, as a New Orleanian (which went 82% Campbell), we tried. sorry, guys.
The Republicans now have the balance of power in Senate, 52- 48. It is not surprising that a Republican won, but even Foster Campbell has said he did not get enough help from Democrats. In fact since the election the only people i see fighting are normal people and they need someone who can lead and help them.
