I've been thinking a lot lately about representation on television vs. actual population characteristics in the US and I think it would be an interesting thought experiment to try and put together let's say a 10 hr. television block (using shows from all networks/streaming etc) that most accurately represents the US

Why is this the best SNL skit that is not an SNL skit ever made???!!! I’m watching it again. This is hilarious.

be careful with stuff like that. People get latex contact allergies. My sister’s sorority reveal involved a room full of balloons and all the latex soaked cornstarch particles floating around from the balloons almost put her in shock.

we dressed as teachers who always wore the same thing. There was an entire math class of seniors dressed in plaid shirts tucked into blue jeans with a brown belt. The teacher we were dressed as walked in saw a bunch of mini-hims and couldn't stop laughing all of class.

I am a woman in her 20s/30s (29) and I changed my birth control with the only goal of eliminating my period. I have to take other meds every day so remembering isn’t an issue for me so I switched to one of those “no placebo days” pills that was nearly the same formulation as the one I was already taking and it has

I haven’t had a period in almost a year and it’s AMAZING!!! I’ve never had any issues but I also take a “traditional" pill but one that doesn't have the stupid period break. I have also never had any issues with PMS etc. in the past so.... I may just be lucky.

The Dads episode is perfect!!

Do you have a source for this? I don't mean that in a snarky way, I mean it in an actual "I want to look into it more" way.

I prefer Debbie Downer

To be fair, it will never be as good as Sleater Kinney's. There were only 10 years between The Woods and No Cities to Love, the bandmates all stayed friends in the meantime, none of them were on drugs, and they had 10 years of continuous recording and touring under their belts before disbanding. Hole (though amazing)

NO PLAYGROUP??? But how will she learn to terrorize the neighborhood through coordinated super soaker warfare if she doesn’t bond with those kids at an early age? Why are you looking at me like that? is that not what normal playgroups do?

The only reason I didn’t think of that show (which was fantastic) is that it was set in the past. The Kwanza episode is still my favorite forever.

I think the last show that I saw that really depicted a middle class family and the challenges of parenting well was "Malcolm in the Middle" The house looked like a family lived there and was cluttered and messy, the people had real jobs and real job issues. The mom and dad looked like a mom and dad sometimes nice and

Jezebel picked a photo of her not smiling. From the same event:

Woody Allen is also dead the whole time. Or that might just be the zombie fan fic I read.

YES! Let's do this! This might be the only way I can survive the ungodly amount of election time we still have.

The reason why Annie Hall is liked by so many people who dislike a lot of his other work is that it's an actual realistic adult relationship with no fawning children involved. That, and any reasonable adult woman would also dump Woody Allen just like Annie Hall did in the movie.

she looks like a normal 45 year old who has not had cosmetic surgery and doesn't wear a lot of makeup. Don't bring her looks into Allen's terribleness.

How dare they steal my grandmother's 4th of July outfit!

Death before door-opening!
