Absolutely. The sound design in Ace Combat has always been fantastic. I love the little touches in this one where sounds are actually delayed based on how far they are - if your missile hits someone half a mile in front of you, there’s a noticeable delay between seeing it and hearing it.

I’ll have to try that out soon. I just unlocked the X-02 so I’m having fun blasting through missions again with that.

I’m currently 7 missions in and, having been an Ace Combat fan for almost my entire game-playing life, it’s exactly what I wanted from the series. Loving every second of it. Especially compared to Assault Horizon this game is incredible. It’s basically the same thing as AC4 through Zero but with all of the polish and

Same.

Still my favorite game of all time. I cannot think of a game that focuses in on its core elements and does them so well that none of the “objective” flaws matter. Sure the combat is clunky and the slow puzzle-climbs indoors can be a little tedious, but those honestly break up the parkour just enough that once you get

I would hope that a work of period fiction could use the names of companies that existwd in the period, especially if it is this old. I think most people would understand that the 1880s Pinkertons are functionally different than 2019 Pinkertons. It feels purely like a cash grab on one of the defining private entities

Randy regularly hosts events at his house. He has a theater called The Peacock in which he hosts variety shows, magic shows, comedy, a wide variety of things. I’d be incredibly shocked if the events described in the lawsuit are true given the types of events that are normally hosted there.

Do y’all think that Xbox is going to trend towards a more steam machine/chromebook like approach to consoles where they are essentially a Windows machine with a limited set of apps? It seems to me that’s where it’s heading, with all of their exclusives also being on PC.

This also happened in one of the Battlefield 4 Phantom Program puzzles. There was a fairly complicated math puzzle involving Maclaurin series (a somewhat more advanced calculus concept) that no one in the community figured out, so the devs basically gave out the answer after a few weeks.

I think the difference is that now it seems to be common and accepted to think that, as a fan, I contribute and am a part of the development of media I like to a degree where I have input on the future direction of that media equally or more valuable than the people who actually create it. Basically, fans think they

I prefered the lower TTK too since it felt like it actually changed up the game pretty significantly from previous Battlefields. However I have been playing all day today with the changes and think it still feels good. Closer to older Battlefield games for sure. I just want an overall medic buff (all i want is lower

It only just launched. Give it a year for people to get on board. With the revenue sharing scheme Epic has, developers will come.

You’re being shortsighted. The benefits are the long term effects of having a competitive marketplace rather than Steam having a near monopoly on the general digital game distribution market.

“It’s about ethics in gaming except when it is inconvenient for me or contradicts my beliefs!”

Lets be real, only one of those is made to be a general games store, gog. The rest are launchers for one company to bypass steam’s cut. Epic is doing something different here and is the only one that will directly compete with Steam.

Having multiple storefronts online is a minor inconvenience but the benefits long term to both developers and consumers massively outweigh that. Steam has stagnated with no competition and this will force them to do more for everyone.

When the PS4 first came out, I was still playing some games on my PS3 as well. You can plug in your PS4 controller to your PS3 via USB and use it to play most games, and with the PS4 controller being superior, that’s what I did. This was also before rest mode was a thing, so when I was switching between games, I’d

This looks weirdly similar to Borderlands in a lot of ways tbh

I wonder how the Rage 2 team feels about this

I partially agree with your critique of the war story here, but I do also think on the flip side it is important to remember that not all of the German population was on board with the horrendous things Hitler’s regime was committing, including many of the regular soldiers. One of the reasons Das Boot is such a
