There is so much about what is popularly called fiscal conservatism that I see as being at odds with actual fiscal conservatism. I believe it is a side effect of the GOP tying fiscal conservatism to social conservatism, but also just plain greed and corruption.

Part of it, I am sure, is that Bernie’s radicalism got there first. But I believe it is unrealistic to discount America’s sexism.

There are degrees of how bad climate change can get: unpleasant & expensive vs. unlivable. The worst case scenarios are not inevitable - yet. I would prefer to keep it that way. We can no longer avoid some climate change, but we still have a chance to stave off the worst of it.
