Legislating the “rare” part sounds moderate until you start listening to the reasons people have late-term abortions. The only reason to legislate “rare” is if you think women and doctors just like to kill babies willy-nilly.

I think the Trump administration has taken that a step further. Previous administrations were all about gutting funding, but I don't remember their appointees being this hopelessly dense. Yes, they would stonewall, but they at least seemed to know what the questions were about.
Please don't insult otters. Otters are adorable!
No matter how much time she reclaims, he still won’t answer. The most she can do is give him the opportunity to show us all what a useless stuffed shirt he is.
Congress wouldn’t be this weak if Democrats held both House and Senate. Even though I believe Congress has given away far too much power to the President in recent decades, much of our current problem is political, not structural.
I think they used to be worse? Now we hear about it more.
I’m still not for Democrats going on Fox, but if they do, Trump turning on Fox is a silver lining.
Impeachment won’t oust Trump. The way I see it, there are two arguments for impeachment:
Trump may be unpopular with the country as a whole, but he is still very popular with GOP voters. As long as they support him, Republicans in Congress will, too.
The executive branch has been handed way too much power in recent decades. If GOP fear of a power-hungry Democratic president is what it takes to reduce the power of the presidency, I’m fine with that.
I’d rather have a centrist shitheel Supreme Court Justice than Kavanaugh. I’d rather have Biden-appointed judges throughout the land than the extreme conservatives Trump is appointing now.
“idk why exactly they like him”
“Fixing or modifying the Democratic Party is fine. But you have to beat the Republicans first.”
“I feel the ‘safe, legal, and rare’ is a good argument,”
“go into the Democrat’s tent and toss out all the wannabe Republicans”
If he can convince them it’s really the fault of immigrants, Muslims, and trans people, they’ll still be fired up.
In your original statement, you said it might be for the best if Trump won against Biden and, as a result of that loss, the Democratic Party’s “big tent” collapsed. That sounded very like a preference to me. However, I am glad to hear I misunderstood your original statement.
The Democratic Party also wants control of the Presidency, Congress, and to put some more justices on the Supreme Court, but they are not willing to go as far as Republicans to accomplish that. Democrats are the ones fighting against voter suppression and fighting for ranked choice voting. I am voting for anyone who…
The comment I was responding to said “That might be for the best,” and that is the part I disagree with. I do not think ANY Democratic presidential candidate losing to Trump would be “for the best”. We cannot afford another 4 years of Trump, regardless of how a Trump win might wake up the centrists - which I don’t…
Because even though they say that abortion is murder, a lot of them don’t truly believe that. They may believe a fetus is a valuable life, but not as valuable a life as a 12-year-old who was raped. More valuable than the life of a someone whose birth control failed, though. For many people who want to ban abortion…
